23/6 continues our up-to-the-minute writers' strike coverage, picking up where Deadline Hollywood Daily left off.

LATEST: The strike's decomposing pile of casualties grew even higher this week, as four TV studios--CBS/Paramount, Universal Media Studios, 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros.--exercised force majeure, killing dozens of overall deals with television writers. Studios chose to notify the affected writers not by mail, but rather by hand delivering the letters to the writers as they dropped their kids off at school, as specified by the "honte chômage" clause in all contracts, which allows for writers to be soundly shamed in front of their children's peers and teachers.
