This poor woman obviously has a psychological problem. I'm not going to say that we should leave her alone, because we won't.
But I will say that what we are doing is tantamount to taunting a crippled person. We won't be satisfied until she is no longer among us and then we'll say; "see, I told you." And, then we wonder why the world is so screwed up. Just maybe, it's because we are so screwed up. I wish her well.

When you're young, talented, mega-rich, seen it all, done it all, own it all, what's to live for?

the real warning sign is when someone dreams of your ghost. who could be more alive than britney spears- driving over people and slurping latte as she buys cheap cosmetics? the obituary is for the joy of her children. can you imagine how bad you'd feel if you were britney's kids and some monstrous old man decreed that you be taken away from her?
i was raised by a girl like britney. i didn't turn out so great; but i want to love and understand people like she did. britney is an ecstatic in the sense that the real britney is the soul that leaves her body and draws out the souls of others. she was "born to make you happy". let me put it this way: if one of your candidates said one kind word about a troubled, gifted person like britney being scorned and demeaned- i would spend the rest of my life in his service. so i don't have to worry about helping politicians at all.

Have they selected any photos to appear with BS's obit? Her initials are appropriate for an entertainer too. This whole thing is BS to the max. Maybe she can use her initials from now on. A tattoo of them might be her next move. That might be a way to get custody of the kids if she gets tattoo's of their initials too. A lot of women do that. Why not?

Actually, this is not that unusual. There are staff writers for various media outlets who routinely write obits for people who are still living, but expected to die soon.

It's a morbid occupation, but not that unreasonable if you view it with emotional detatchment. The basic idea is to allow newspapers and other media to react quickly to the death of a famous individual.

Ironically, there have been historical cases were obits were accidentally published before the person was really dead.

One of the most famous instances was Mark Twain, who was reported dead of a serious illness from which he actually recovered ... hence his famous quip, "reports of my death have been somewhat exaggerated."

"Britney's body found in bathtub by kids. She was the world's youngest and richest has-been."

I knew a guy who updated the Obits for our Newspaper. This was ten years ago.

Nothing new.

writing the news before it happens? I thought that only occurred in politics.

Don't most new agencies have obituaries, that they regularly update, pre-written for most famous people anyway?

The only problem is that when BS does croak if her demise is anytime soon--the media still have lots of self-destructive celebs who are in the fast lane of the Highway to Hell---no shortage of those to go around---
