Eric Hippeau, a Managing Partner of venture capital investor SoftBank capital, was recently interviewed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. When asked about what he and his company are watching out for, the media guru responded, "Davos is all about the big picture," citing mobile advertising, an explosion in video, and new media as the particularly "exciting" fields. He also sounded optimistic about the economic downturn, noting it takes several years to start a new business, so current times are excellent for starting new companies.
