#1 --last October 2007 --Obama personally acted on a Saturday Night Live skit that outright called Hillary a "witch". A female actress for Hillary put a WITCH costume on the character of Hillary to illustrate the point??

(2) Obama distorted Bill Clinton's position on Iraq saying Clinton supported the War in Iraq -- but leaving out "details" like Bill Clinton said he ONLY supported the war "IF" the UN inspectors found evidence of WMD.

There is a CNN interview before the invasion that proves this.

Bill Clinton complained. Obama just repeated the distortion.

(3) Obama insisted Hillary was for the war in Iraq and he was against it. Yet their voting records while both were in the Senate were essentially identical on Iraq??

Obama could have just said his position was superior. Instead he distorted the record to state Hillary was an ally of George Bush.

(4) Obama implied Hillary was a racist in her remarks on Martin L. King
I heard him say this plus heard Hillary's original speech.

The press again gave Obama a free pass.

This was an outright lie.
Add to this, Obama was now holding himself as pure with Hillary unfairly attacking him.
The only reason SOME in the media decided to stop saying Hillary was a racist was because Obama was ready to sign a truce.


(5) Obama did extol Ronald Reagan's "charisma" – but he did not say one way or the other whether he admired Reagan's policies.

I think Obama was hoping to pick up a few conservatives by acting vague in this.

This is a much different economy. Evoking Reagan's "charisma" isn't going to make any progress in this environment.

So why is the media distorting this???

Hillary Clinton has never really been threatened in this campaign and she should be smart enough to know it. That’s why I’m a bit concerned that they pushed the panic button so quickly. It made them look a bit desperate. I have to wonder if many of the ardent Hillary supporters here hail from solidly blue states where they don’t have to worry about any backlash from Clinton haters hurting the party down the ticket. I’m ok with another Clinton presidency if that’s what happens, but I do know that a lot of work went into turning many statehouses blue and recapturing many governorships in states where the name “Clinton” isn’t a strong asset to the party. I hope I’m wrong, but I do know that the plight of the poor, the unemployed, the uninsured and the undereducated is just as dependent upon what happens at the state level as the national level. This is a federal system. It does disturb me, however to see that so many Hillary supporters have started to sound like Rovian Reps. when it comes to Obama. As Jim Clyburn would say – “Chill out.” Hillary is in no danger of losing this thing. But we better remember that the Clintons only have 8 more years and then what? I thought Obama had a bright future in the party, but that might be gone now with the way the party establishment and the base have turned on him. Campaign against him, argue for Hillary’s cause, but don’t destroy this man’s fine character. We need him. He was the biggest asset as a campaigner that the party had in 2006. He deserves respect for that alone. Eight years from now Bill Clinton won’t have the star power anymore and Obama could have been a real force, but we always trade long-term goals for short-term satisfaction. Obama can’t beat the Clintons, but he needs to be nurtured, valued and respected by her supporters unless we want to keep getting beat by the Reps. in the future.

I'm Jewish-- and at my synogogue-- about 50 of us are for Obama- the other 50 for Clinton-- so we are split-- probably a ny, calfornia, nj-- and other States with jewish populations-- we don't split because of gender, race, etc.. - maybe we split 50-50 according to our education levels...
