The Boston Globe reports:

Senator Edward M. Kennedy will endorse Barack Obama for president tomorrow, breaking his year-long neutrality to send a powerful signal of where the legendary Massachusetts Democrat sees the party going -- and who he thinks is best to lead it.

Kennedy confidantes told the Globe today that the Bay State's senior senator will appear with Obama and Kennedy's niece, Caroline Kennedy, at a morning rally at American University in Washington tomorrow to announce his support.

That will be a potentially significant boost for Obama as he heads into a series of critical primaries on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Kennedy believes Obama can ``transcend race'' and bring unity to the country, a Kennedy associate told the Globe. Kennedy was also impressed by Obama's deep involvement last year in the bipartisan effort to craft legislation on immigration reform, a politically touchy subject the other presidential candidates avoided, the associate said.

The coveted endorsement is a huge blow to New York Senator Hillary Clinton, who is both a senatorial colleague and a friend of the Kennedy family. In a campaign where Clinton has trumpeted her experience over Obama's call for hope and change, the endorsement by one of the most experienced and respected Democrats in the Senate is a particularly dramatic coup for Obama.

The scoop was first reported by Time's Mark Halperin and confirmed by CNN. Suzanne Malveaux reported:

"This is really big and very big for Barack Obama. Senator Ted kennedy...is a giant in the party. A Clinton campaign source told me the Clinton campaign is in fact expecting it. Already a senior aide from the Clinton campaign reacting on the record to the news that they expect. 'They have been friends,' Senator Clinton and Kennedy, 'for a long time and Senator Clinton has a lot of respect for Senator Kennedy.' ... This is really kind of extraordinary when you think about the relationship between the Clintons and the Kennedys, the kind of personal relationship that the two have. Obviously this is a very big win for Barack Obama."

Kennedy is one of two potential superstar Dem endorsements -- the other being Al Gore. Read Halperin's report here. Caroline Kennedy, daughter of JFK, endorsed Obama in a Sunday New York Times op-ed titled "A President Like My Father."

Ben Smith reported earlier this week that the Clintons were concerned about Kennedy's endorsement and were making a full-court press:

I do know, however, that Hillaryland is worried: Two sources say she's directed a flood of calls the senator's way, with everyone from union leaders to his Massachusetts constituents scrambling to stop what Clinton's camp is worried could be an endorsement of Obama.

This SFGH terrible, painful hospital care and bad doctors needs to have someone with courage deal with these issues for to have money bad terrible care is meaningless. The course here are corrupt too and thus no one can even file a save your life lawsuit. When something goes bad at a SFGH county hospital, then the poor have no other hospital to go to and one could die as well as my case of quitting evil, corrupt jobs. Attorny James Burling of Pacific Legal Foundation knows of my case, but could not take my case even.

Surgeon Doctor Brett Ge....(Gemiel?) of SFGH corrected my wrongful 89 Cancer Consultation Report by Surgeon Jan Horn and Dr. Brett Ge... and amended it in January 18,1990.

The doctors at St. Anthony's Medical Clinc,SFc were just disgusting and awful too since they wrote things about patients without even talking to them. No one would decently correct medically in error reports including California Medical Board, Sacramento,Calif.

Since no one would help me with money for job faxes,or need for phone, newspaper, clean clothes, bus fare, healthcare, etc., then by just 3 minutes I missed a car swerving from an intersection into the local grocery-deli I had just walk by. Terrible to get hit by car. You awful goons in San Francisco as SF Bd of Suprs,Supr Chris Daly,My reps including Rep. Nancy Pelosi,Sen. Patrick Leahy, DA's office past and presentCourts. Pathetically, the poor and job seeker do not get much money. The Bible says be well-informed. They are taxed with a smoker's tax to pay for Children's Health Insurance and if everyone paid more children could be helped, now they will need to pay for single payer Health Insurance for themselves which also they could not afford. It's sad but your putting the burden on only them. Our American system of government of taxes came about when businesses felt they were burdened by too much tax and complained. Thus Congress thereafter levied the taxes. This is the America way of Government. People get $50.00 a month on Welfare. Remember Care not Cash.

When I had major surgery in 1989 I had bad hosptal practices and doctors. The California Medical Board, Sacramento, Ca did nothing. Even now Jan 2008 the California Medical Board does not keep honest medical records of evidence against lying doctors trying to cover-up awful, painful medical care.

When the surgeon and trainee went to change my bandage they ripped it off. One needs pain medicine for that. When I went to have stitches taken out the 5 inch black metal wall light fell on my chest, not my wound. Thank God! They put someone you do not know in my room right after a major surgery and she was cruel. You need to deal with courage the bad hospital practices and bad doctors and HMO's, insurance companies.

TO: Senator Barack Obama and Liberal Lion Teddy Kennedy's Endorsement for Your Presidency 2008 January 30, 2008

Senator Barack Obama, I never heard your objections to time limit on Welfare where our leastest and most suffering are wallowing in the gutter. I never heard an inspiring speech of sweetness and compassion about them. A mentally ill person or as my case where I quit evil jobs doesn't need time limit on Welfare. President Clinton vetoed twice.

I never liked Robert Reed where he and other Republicans wanted Welfare Reform Bill Time Limit. Remember Grinch Gingrich's Contract on Welfare? He was bad later, but no one saved the poor from bad people and leaders. Sadly, Cato Institute,Wash DC. lied about so much money given to poor. In Congressional Budget of Welfare Reform Bill 1966. Albert Sanchez Feb 97 letter to me states," There is no Welfare in Florida." Other cities no Welfare. Cruel out-all-day shelters. Shorttime shelters, etc. No job fax money. Elliot Liebow,Jewish Anthropologist, writes in his '93 book,"Closing down shelters in Wash DC and in cities around country is criminal,self-defeating, and dumb. Welfare gives meager money. It's a govenment of all Americans."Liebow'93

It's the President's Cabinet that tells the President the State of the Union. The President cannot know what goes on everywhere.

Roger Williams who gave us our first full Religious Freedom at Providence, Rhode Island which ultimately found its way into our Main Two Laws of Constitution also believed in separation of Church and State which means Religious Laws should be separated from Civil Laws. An example he gave is the Freeman's Oath where a person who doesn't believe in God and Jesus or doesn't believe all laws are wholesome should not have to take an Oath. Thus, President Bill Clinton isn't a liar. I have not decided yet who to vote for in 2008 but we must be truthful and honest about peoples' reputations. Just because one has money doesn't mean he is in favor with God. One needs humility.

I doubt ~ "truesoccermom" ~ that you've had as impressive a list of accomplishments as Sen. Clinton over the years. Moreover, to try & cast a shadow over her work as an attorney, or a former First Lady, or even a current NY senator isn't fair (or, good sportmanship, in your case). You can certainly like Sen. Barack Obama ~ a great many do ~ & be his No. 1 fan, without providing continued inaccuracies/distortions on his main opponents. Just some unsolicited advice.

Ted Kennedy split the Democratic Party in 1980 to run against a sitting Democratic President Carter who Ted despised. The country got Reagan instead and 25 years of Republican dominance. Kennedy gave us Dukakis, Tsongas, and John Kerry. Kennedy opposed any Democrat from the South: LBJ, Carter, Clinton, and Gore. Did Hillary Clinton's comment on LBJ being the one who actually got the Civil Rights Act passed and not JFK or RFK send Ted up the wall?

How long to the voters West of the Mississippi have to put up with the never-ending Civil War between North and South fought ever 4 years in the Democratic party? Kennedy, please let the torch be passed - but not to another JFK impersonator.

Let the next Democrat with any Presidential potential please come from the West Coast so the country can move on.

Hear ye, hear ye! Now comes the Kennedy dynasty anointing the Next Generation presidential candidate Barack Obama, who abhors dynasties because he is the Agent of Change.
This follows the elite conglomerate media"s ongoing love fest with Obama, who has yet to show what he is really about beyond his oratory. So this is change?
White guilt, like white anything, continues to dominate the mainstream discourse.
Bill Clinton is falsely accused by Obama supporters and the media of playing the race card -- for saying that that Obama's race, like Hillary's gender, shows progress in American electoral politics.
So he's playing the race card, but not the gender card?
Racism is intolerable but sexism is fine. That is the corrupted message being pushed by the Establishment.
Hillary Clinton has endured the spite of men and women ever since she showed herself to be a strong woman who wasn't concerned with the White House china. She surrounds herself with strong women who also believe that the way to triumph in the gender wars is just by doing the job. Unforgiveable!
Obama wants to transcends race. Any mention that he is black is taken by his campaign advisors (mostly white) and the media (almost ALL white) as belittling him.
What's wrong with being black? People of color know how color colors opportunities. He desperately wants to fit into the Establishment by not talking about racism, by seeking endorsements from the elite to add credence to his candidacy.
Denying that race matters, that it informed and formed him, that it steals opportunities from people of color every day, is dishonest and cynical politically.

How do you judge wisdom?
By "boneheadedness" in the erroneous and ambiguous statements or being economical with the facts on one's compromise with political power brokers and Lobbyists?

How can you say a man has intelligence when he lacks competence and has a poor record of diligence from Illinois to Capitol?

Your decision to endorse Senator Barack Obama is not based on truth, but on your romantic summation of his stage craft, because God knows that your knowledge of him is based on mere hearsay and not on facts.

For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.

Cheers and God bless.

"Black people have always been used as a buffer in this country between powers to prevent class war."
~ Toni Morrison

Dear Toni Morrison and Ted Kennedy,

The fundamental existence of the African American can only be defined by the African American experience from generation to generation and not by political stump speeches without substance and without experience.

The only difference between Senator Barack Obama and former Senator John Edwards is the color of their skin.
Have you read the letter Martin Luther King, III, sent to Hon. John Edwards?

The brilliant recitation of paraphrased quotes is not the evidence of intelligence or wisdom, but the clever display of the gift of the gab.

I know that you know nothing more about Barack Obama than his well rehearsed and well acted victory speeches in Iowa and South Carolina, and apparently have only seen him from your poetic point of view.
No more, no less.

It is nothing short of ignorance to judge a man by his appearance from a distance.
A man should be judged by his works and not by his looks or by his speech.
For his looks will fade like the Morning Glory before the sunset and his mere words will only become echoes in our heads.
Only our works will testify of our intelligence, competence, diligence and service to humanity, even when the echoes of our best speeches can no longer be heard.

What has Senator Barack Obama done so far to prove his wisdom and intelligence?
Have you been to his constituents in Illinois?
Have you checked Barack Obama"s Record in the Illinois Senate?

Or is it his erroneous transaction with the indicted estate developer, Antoin Rezko, his political godfather?

"Somebody has to take responsibility for being a leader."
~ Toni Morrison

Senator Hillary Clinton is the only Democratic Presidential Candidate left in the presidential race who has taken responsibility for leadership and not making excuses.

In South Carolina people were identify voting, as they say.

Obama go over 80% of the African American vote, 24% of the White Vote.

EDWARDS got 40% of the White Vote, which was significant, and will increase in support in the remaining states.

Hillary got a high percentage of the Women's Vote.

but basically,EDWARDS represents ALL of US. His platform very strongly emphasizes SUPPORT for the MIDDLE CLASS and less fortunate, of which Most of US are APART.

Re-think your allegiances, before it's too late, because He is the ONLY one who TRULY is he CHANGE candidate for ALL of US.

The OLD GUARD POLITICIANS like Kerry and Kennedy resent him, because he will shake up their cushy worlds like no other Candidate.

EDWARDS - The choice of ALL of the PEOPLE

Edwards in '08.

It's very tempting to paint an unfair picture of a potential presidential candidate, as being either a saint or a sinner (the media often does this, BTW...), & several commentors here seem to be doing just that with their claims about both Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton. Neither one is perfect, folks ... but no one in politics is. We all know that! To pretend otherwise is foolish, really.

Sen. Clinton has been involved in crucial high stakes politics, if you will, longer than Sen. Obama (again, we all know this reality) ~ & thus, has had more opportunities to make well-publicized & big mistakes (eg., supporting Bush's decision to invade Iraq initially, etc.). But she also has learned the 'hard ropes' along the way & is willing to listen to others when new information reaches her. She is not Bill Clinton ~ nor has she ever pretended to be. And, she has a right to her supporters, too (just as Sen. Obama does with Caroline & Ted Kennedy).

Sen. Obama is less experienced & has less of a record to judge by ~ though I really admire his early, good stance on Iraq & also his current support of important gun control measures post-Virginia Tech massacre. Yet, the ordeal regarding financial dealings with Tony Rezko, etc. is an example of just how easy it is to mistakenly judge a person/situation, with limited knowledge.

Whichever way Democrats decide to go (& I am one of them, being much farther to the political left than either Obama or Clinton ... but not as far as Ted Kennedy), I hope they will remain united behind the candidate they eventually choose; because having either McCain or Huckabee or Romney in the White House would be as detrimental to our nation as never having Bush leave.

K

p.s. ~ sorry for the long post!

If Obama had 35 years of experience, we wouldn't be having this conversation. He is getting phony endorsements precisely because he is of mixed race. This is reverse racism, not treating him on the same equal playing field as anyone no matter what their racial identity is. This just make Ted Kennedy and Carolyn Kennedy racists in that they refuse to judge the candidates by the content of their character and experience.

But, both Ted Kennedy and Carolyn Kennedy are worth a 1/4 billion each, and neither will be economically diminished and will suffer from an Obama Presidency and a world economic crisis. Only the poor and middle class will suffer from an inexperienced and incompetent Obama Presidency.

So much for lip service and the wealthy white guilt reparations.

Enough! Nothing changes the fact that Obama is inexperienced.

The Democrats are giving reason after reason for the voters to vote Republican.

-----CLINTON SLEEZE FATIGUE WILL INVIGORATE GOP, DISPIRIT DEMOCRATS AND SINK DEMOCRATIC TICKET-----

-----EDWARDS/OBAMA TO WIN-----

It is possible that Senator Clinton is the best candidate. However, even though many may like the policies that Senator Clinton proposes, they should also consider her record, just as Senator Clinton insists.
.
The last Clinton Administration, when faced with the fact that protection rackets where assaulting, torturing and murdering people with poison and radiation, chose to avoid its responsibilities to incarcerate the criminals and to protect the citizenry.
.
Instead, they made a deal with the criminal gang stalker protection rackets to leave them alone and to consequently abandon the citizenry.
.
Do we want a President who sells out the citizenry for votes?
.
Do we want a President who sends a "crime does pay" message to society?
.
Would you vote for a President who signed nonaggression deals with the KKKlan or the Nazi party? Gangs that torture with poison and radiation are much like the KKKlan and Nazi Party.
.
We do not need a sellout President. We need a principled leader President.
.
If you are one of the few who do not know what the above refers to, do a web search for "gang stalking" to see the tip of the dirtberg. Please do it before you decide to reply to my post. Here let me make it easy for you: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22gang+stalking%22.
