Thank you, Mr. Day-Lewis, for a gentlemanly moment in sad Hollywood.

You're a good man, sir.

I would have donated it to Kelly O'Dell the porn star.

A good moment in Hollywood redeeming a very tragic one.

By the time DDL wins the Oscar, he'll probably be shilliing for Christian Brando, Britney Spears' career, and Rudy Giuliani's abdication.

Please stop saying Daniel Day-Lewis "broke down" on Oprah. He made a heartfelt statement. Isn't that enough for you? There was no breaking down and saying there was is simply lying. What is wrong with the collective media psyche that you no longer recognize and report fact?

This may be heresey for a gay man to say, but my favorite Heath Ledger performance was as the skate shop owner in LORDS OF DOG TOWN, release the same year as BROKEBACK. How remarkable is his performance? I thought it was Val Kilmer. He should have received a 2nd nomination as Supporting Actor that year.

Here, here. We always hope someone "gets it" and Ledger, wherever he is, if pride can be felt in the afterlife, must know, should know, people got it. He was a great character actor, and his death was a tragedy. Rest in peace.

Heath Ledger always wanted to be thought of as an actor rather than a celebrity.

I can think of no higher honor than the finest actor of our generation dedicating his award to you. It was wonderful that they applauded Heath twice, generally when Day-Lewis mentioned his name and specifically for his performance in Brokeback Mountain.

As an actor myself, I've always thought that Heath Ledger's performance in Brokeback Mountain was the best I'd seen on film since Daniel Day-Lewis is my left foot. How remarkable and divine for Daniel Day-Lewis to offer that dedication.

An actor educates, enlightens and entertains through his/her performance. As the shaman of society, when divinely inspired, they also have the capacity to heal. Heath Ledger's performance was very healing for me. I cried away oceans of shame and significant and positive life changes after seeing that movie and his performance in it.

Brokeback Mountain and Heath's performance in it changed my life. I will always be grateful. And Daniel Day-Lewis will always be a class act and have my gratitude as well.
