Janet Reno Endorses Hillary

Miami Herald:

Former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, who served in Bill Clinton's administration, is backing his wife in Tuesday's presidential primary.

Reno, who ran for governor in 2002 and served as Miami-Dade State Attorney, is one of Florida's best-known politicians. "She's got a large statewide following in Florida,'' said Ana Cruz, who leads a volunteer group called Hillary for Florida.

Y'all really have to stop and just admit that this prize of an endorsement by Ms. Reno is not only a helluva thunder-stealing counterweight but well timed for most effect, on the same day of Ted, Caroline and Patrick announce for Sen. Obama.

Is Reno's endorsement of Hillary even newsworthy?

She was on Bill's payroll for years. I'd have been shocked if she wasn't already out campaigning for Hillary.

Hillary can have that endorsement. I don't think it will influence a single voter in the country.

Now Caroline Kennedy, that's news! And that will DEFINITELY carry a lot of weight having JFK's daughter's endorsement.
