Ousted Starbucks CEO Gets $1.25 Million Severance
Starbucks Corp will pay former Chief Executive James Donald, who was ousted earlier this month, $1.25 million over a 12-month period, the coffee chain said in a regulatory filing on Monday.
The Starbucks founder and chairman, Howard Schultz, returned to the helm of the company on Jan. 7. He plans to close underperforming U.S. outlets and speed up international growth at the formerly fast-growing company.
