Barbara Walters Bans Kathy Griffin From "The View" — Again

"I was supposed to be on 'The View' [today]," said Griffin, who performs her final sold-out stand-up show tonight at Madison Square Garden. "But then I get a call from [producer] Bill Geddie, and he says, 'You were too mean to Barbara [Walters] on your last special, so you can't come on.' Can you believe it? I've been banned before but never re-banned!"

Have only watched a few minutes of The View from time to time, always find the table they sit around very small, just like the cast.

I've gotta say, Kathy at her best delights me and my wife with her commentary skewering the self-important, rich and powerful of the celebrity world. Living here in Los Angeles I've seen much of this pomposity and entitlement first hand. There just isn't quite enough criticism of celebrity culture out there to my liking, so we cherish her.(John Stewart and Stephen Colbert fill that role even better for me in their more topical/political approach and their superior gift of satire.) Although Kathy's whole self-aggrandizing shtick seems to be just that most of the time, it occasionally veers into moments of desperation at wanting to be truly "A-list". It's those moments when I squirm a bit and I feel a bit sorry for her. It must be truly difficult to straddle that divide. More power to Kathy for taking it on.

Shouldn't the headline be "Bill Geddie Bans Kathy ....."? Barbara is getting blamed for something she actually didn't do .... wondering, now, if Elisabeth H is still on the show because of Bill.

In any event, I haven't watched the View since Rosie left the show. Maybe Bill Geddie should be banned from the View?

So much for a View that doesn't agree with Barbara Walters'. With all Walters experience on television, you'd think she'd have a little tougher hide. It would have been great for Kathy G. to be on and have them work it out.
This just makes her look mean and petty. What a legacy.

Didn't Ms Walters serve as a godmother to a child of Ms Huffington? There are times when that fact might influence including a blog about the feuds Ms Walters has & her other antics in HP might be a factor in HP publishing another blog about Ms Walters. I no longer wonder. I don't give a damn. I don't watch much TV & I never watch day-time syndicated TV shows. Show Biz can be & is a bore. Show biz feuds, etc make the great wasteland of TV into a giant, fetid, cess pool.

Barbara should bann Elizabeth Hasselback from the View. I no longer watch the show because of her. Until she is gone, I will not watch it. I only watch when she is breeding and not there. Unfortunately she adds to the population of stupid in this country.

I guess it depends upon one's own sense of humor. I, personally, adore Kathy G.! LOVE her! I think a lot of people just need to lighten up some. This world has gotten too "PC" and certain people take everything to heart. Loosen up!

Okay, I know people will hate me for saying this, but look at those pictures. Barbara is HOW much older than Kathy? And Kathy has had HOW much plastic surgery? And Barbara is still more attractive! LOL!
