Osmond is going back to the future to host a daytime talk show premiering in fall 2009.

It's not unfamiliar ground to Osmond who, with her brother Donny Osmond, hosted daytime's "Donny & Marie" from 1998-2000 (decades after their famous prime-time show).

"This show can be anything we want it to be, depending on the topic and the guest," Osmond told The Post yesterday.

"I have no problem talking about any topic," she said. "That's where I'm a little bit unique."

This sounds fantastic. Marie interviewing actors and politicians. Please. Let her do a special every twenty years and save humanity from having to watch this mess.
