Limbaugh Says He'll Fundraise For Hillary

Rush Limbaugh   |   February 7, 2008 05:24 PM

Rush Limbaugh is ready to do his part for the GOP by putting on his own fundraiser. Even if that fundraiser is for the only politician that he believes can unite the party -- Hillary Clinton.

From today's show:

RUSH: All right, folks, I need to ask you a question, personal question from me to you. Do I sound like I need cheering up here? I'm getting e-mails from friends, "Boy, you sound like you could use a little cheering up." And they're sending me these stupid little Internet jokes, "for you to smile," like an Internet joke would cheer me up. Spam would cheer me up. But do I sound like I need to be cheered up? I can't wait 'til the Drive-Bys get hold of my thought, my consideration of helping Hillary raise money. They'll miss the reason. They'll just publicize, "Limbaugh is so upset at Romney getting out, he's thinking of raising money for Hillary, period."

But the reason for raising money for Hillary is because that apparently my party is relying on fear and loathing of Hillary to get the nomination, to unite Republicans, who are, some of them, off the reservation. The Republicans do not seem to be relying on leadership in their party to unite the party. They seem to be relying on all these external things, nobody is going to vote for Hillary, negative turnout factor. What if she's not the nominee? We've got make sure she's the nominee if the Republican Party is to be unified. What more loyal thing could I do than to run a fundraiser for Mrs. Clinton? You watch, though, you watch how that will be questioned.

Limbaugh said yesterday that "if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now," and previewed what he thinks will be the Democratic arguments against McCain:

RUSH: She just polarizes people. I think she's going to gin up enough anti-Hillary turnout out there to perhaps be a boon to whoever the Republican nominee is.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Now, if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now.

CALLER: I agree.

RUSH: I'm going to tell you something else that's going to happen. In addition to all this emotion that Hillary's going to revive in people, all this, "I don't care, I'm not going to vote for that woman," you know she's going to redefine negative turnout. You know she is polarizing. I'm going to tell you what's going to happen. It's already started, I pointed this out. Last week after one of the primaries, Anna Quindlen, Newsweek magazine, "How Old is Too Old?" she laid the foundation for the Drive-Bys' eventual turning on McCain as an old guy getting older. I want to predict to you that once he's got this sewn up you're going to see the Drive-By Media start doing stories on his age, and they're not going to be mean, they are not going to be vicious, they're going to be almost sorrowful. Somebody wrote about this in American Thinker today, too, and I can't remember the name. I think I've got it here in the Stack, but take a look at some of the pictures from last night on television. Here you had McCain, you've got an aging senator here, and an aging governor, gray-haired governor there, you've got old people, gray-haired, blue-haired Bloody Mary gang, women, blue hair in the hives and so forth, you've got pearls and so forth. You contrast that to the Obama crowd that is youthful, it's energetic, it wasn't stoic. I am telling you, if that doesn't work, they're going to go after this age business, and they'll do it almost regretfully. We're going to get the worst pictures of McCain. We're going to get him looking tired. We're going to hear references to his forgetfulness. "Isn't it just a shame?" And if that doesn't work, then they're going to do stories on the fact he's nuts. Just mark my words. Mark my words and don't doubt me.

People pay way too much attention to Rush Limbaugh. The guy is wrong on most of his predictions and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Nancy Pelosi has nice tits. If she slammed the gavel topless, the world would be a much different place.

What's the fuss? A republican says he's going to raise funds for a republican candidate. No news here.

McCain wins = Democrats take over in 4 years for a long time, probably under Obama.

Clinton wins = Republicans take over in 4 years, unrepentant and unreformed.

Obama wins = The New FDR. Republicans are scared that an energized Democratic Party under a smart, charismatic leader could mean another great change in American politics, one that will force them to evolve or die.

Limbaugh and Coulter have banked millions from backing losers like Bush and deplorable issues like the war in Iraq.
Now that they've recognized eight years of stupidly backing the wrong people and issues, they are seeking new ways to grab media attention.
While the majority of us recognize the folly of idolizing bloated drug addicts and bitter anorexics, the NASCAR set would get behind Charles Manson if he waved the flag and denounced liberals.
Anyone who still listens to either of these sickly frauds -simply put- has a character disorder.

Rush 'Slimeball' Limabaugh is A NEOCON DRUG ADDICT who has lost half his hearing due to Oxycontin (Hillbilly Heroin) abuse, & at least half his brain. He regularly advocates Torture & death to people who are drug addicts. This man Hallucinates as easily as you & I drink water. He is the Goebbels of the NEOCONS & actually likes that title. Ann Coulter is probably extremely suicidal. So, GOD BLESS AMERIKA. We need it.

The Ugly Truth is that Senators are Great Orators, but make Terrible Presidents!!!

That's why the Top Three candiates are Sitting Senators, they can Talk the Talk, but they can't walk the walk.

Considering that History tells us that the Two sitting Senators, Harding & Kennedy that were Elected directly into the Presidency, besides being terrible Presidents, DIED IN OFFICE!!!

Anybody who would vote for a Senator for President, is niave and ignorant of the past mistakes we made as a country, when we try to vote in a Messiah Figure, especially an overly Glib one.

Rush isn't a Stupid Man, and knows that any Senator that is Elected, will just give him plenty of ammunition to use against them, and if it is a Liberal Democrat, or a Liberal Republican, it won't matter to him.

By the way, Huckabee isn't a Dream Candidate either, and since the Conservatives are now looking for a Candidate that will consider & address their issues, or do their best to ruin whoever is elected. Just like the Clintons Do!

There maybe a few people who disagree with your contention that JFK was a "terrible President."

Well then I am So Sorry to burst your Little Bubble, as John F Kennedy was a Psychopath, just as most Liberal Socialists are.

Viet Nam
Part 10: Declassified Kennedy Tapes
by Robert L. Kocher
Several pieces of seriously disturbing information were declassified around October of 1999.

One of these revised the deliberately false history that was written to misportray the role of Jack Kennedy in the overthrow of Diem's government in Viet Nam. Kennedy had secretly tape recorded the White House meetings at which the overthrow of the Vietnamese government was planned. The tapes were kept secret for nearly 40 years. The tapes were declassified in the fall of 1999.

The consequence of Kennedy's decision to overthrow Diem in producing the loss of the Viet Nam War was discussed in earlier parts of the Viet Nam series appearing here in The Laissez Faire City Times. The tapes further present evidence that Jack Kennedy was a strange personality of extremely cynical and corrupt nature who was out of place in the US presidency.

Liberal history protects Kennedy as being a nearly tangential figure in the Viet Nam government overthrow who was almost a naive victim of feuds among his advisors and who was tricked into making the decision to overthrow the Vietnamese government while on vacation at Cape Cod. The meeting tapes show quite the opposite to be true. The tapes show Kennedy initiated the overthrow from the beginning and was in complete command throughout the process.

Partial taped transcripts were made public in the article "JFK and the fall of Diem," by Ken Hughes (Boston Globe Online Sunday Magazine, October 24, 1999). What follows are parts of the recordings reported by Hughes in the article, along with some of his interpretations, and my discussion and alternative interpretations. The sequence of events here is not the same as that discussed in the Hughes report which begins, for dramatic purposes, with tape recordings made immediately after Diem's assassination.

Pull back the Curtain for yourselves, People!!!

I don"t know if the media is giving candidates like Clinton & Huckabee a fair game. They are pushing Obama no matter what and assuming McCain is the sole republican running. Overall I do enjoy the WP editorials.
Also, check out the articles "Red States" and "Latino States" http://savagepolitics.com/?p=78 and "The Numbers Game" http://savagepolitics.com/?p=84 on www.savagepolitics.com. It offers a refreshing/brilliant analysis on voters, what the polls really mean, etc¦ I haven"t seen this type of analysis in a long time. It was about time someone unbiased analyzed the current presidential race!!!!!!!!!!

The truth is, by Coulter and Limbaugh playing this, they believe they will drive on-the-fence right-leaning moderates towards McCain that they believe would've voted for Clinton, and left-leaning moderates towards Obama whom they believe would've voted for Clinton.

I'm seeing that they are truly more afraid of Clinton than Obama. They see him as an inexperienced lightweight easily ravaged in the General Election run-up, while they see Clinton as entrenched in support from the Power Elite (whoever the hell that really is). Actually, it's Bill Clinton that they are truly afraid of. . .

Best not pay attention to these blow-hards. Vote your conscience in the primaries, shift your support to ever has the nomination for the general -- they're banking on the "I'll never ever vote for _________ (fill in your choice here). If you are part of that myopic set of die-hard, nobody-else-but supporters, realize you figure into their strategy. They WANT you to feel that way.

But, I'm asking you to put that away. One thing Bush has right (the only thing) is his appeal to Republican voters: Peace and prosperity are at stake in this election. Of course, he's right. Trillions of dollar drained away from America in the form of war debt, and the prospect of a hundred-year war (in McCain's view), no real change of the economy towards energy independence and more of the same U.S. foreign policies that breed terrorism and hatred.

More people in the U.S. understand and agree with the above paragraph than do not. Do not let them drive a wedge into the middle of us over personality. Policy-wise, we know both Democratic front-runners are very close, both with strengths and weaknesses of their own -- but close enough to make the changes away from damage caused by the Hate-filled Right. The stakes are indeed too high.

Rush is selling soap and you're buying it.
That's why he makes 10 million a year and you don't.
Anti-Clinton speak is an industry. The right wing hate radio has made a fortune off of trashing the Clintons. They would love nothing more than to have HRC in the White House. It's a great business plan for Rush and Sean and Ann Coulter.
So I don't give a shit what they say or want.
I'll vote for Hillary because she is by far the most qualified person to be President. And it will make history around the world too.
