John McCain, whose popularity and acceptance among conservatives has increasingly become a point of contention now that he's on pace to win his party's nomination (especially now that Mitt Romney has dropped out), spoke Thursday afternoon at the Conservative Political Action Conference. The question remained: How would he be greeted? Conservatives were warned, 'Don't Boo McCain.' Even Drudge chimed in with a headline reading "McCain Faces The Right No Booing, Please."
And what happened? There was booing.
