Eisner Strike

Silicon Alley Insider:

Former Disney chairman Michael Eisner said on CNBC this evening that both sides have shaken hands on a deal, and all that's left is for the Writers Guild of America members to ratify the deal.

"It's over. They made the deal, they shook hands on the deal. It's going on Saturday to the writers in general...it's impossible (the rank and file writers) will turn it down. A deal has been made. They'll be back to work very soon. I know it's over."

What ever the beginnings of the agreement are they will have to be presented at the Saturday meeting with the central WGA strike committee. With terms and language to be worked out and then passed on to WGA-E and WGA-W, then on to the membership. A lot can happen between now and then. Try looking at the WGA web site or Nikke Finks columns for the other side of the story.

Source? Not saying I don't believe you but NPR announced it this morning as well, I can see not believing Eisner, NPR I tend to give the benefit of the doubt to.
