Iconic financier George Soros has paid $100 million for a stake in Indian movies, gaming and Internet conglom Reliance Entertainment.

He is picking up a 3% stake in the privately held operation controlled by the billionaire industrialist Anil Dirubhai Ambani's Reliance ADAG. Deal values Reliance Entertainment at some $3.3 billion, making it the most valuable entertainment company in the fast-developing territory.

Reliance Entertainment controls the Adlabs group, which is India's biggest film processor, and in recent years has diversified to become a front-running movie production and theater operation.

King George the Hypocrit. Should be helping the Americans in need with those billions. Talk the talk but don't walk the walk. He's one of those rich elitists that poses as a caring progressive. Let's redistribute some of that money through higher taxes for the poor.

"Soros, whose currency speculation in 1992 forced the U.K. to devalue the pound and pull out of Europe's Exchange Rate Mechanism, this week warned that the world is facing its most serious recession since WWII. But he described China and India as the "new colonialists," and the territories with the greatest potential for growth in coming years."

And you would do well to follow his lead...I am.

In complete agreement. I am teaching my child Chinese.

I worked for an american company that in THREE years... moved most of its mfg. plants to BOTH India and China. Their profit margins blow US plants out of the water... and those plants will either be moved to Mexico...or one of the two above. My friend just came back from Guadalajara...and said it's the new Silicon Valley.

Soros is a smart man... and quite a philanthropist as well.

They have some beautiful actresses, though.

Soros is one of Obamas big backers, he is one of the elite eastern liberals that are pushing the Obama show. David Rockerfeller, Soros and Ziggy Brzezinski, former National Security Advisor for Jimmy Carter are oart of the cabel too. These are they same folks that promoted Jimmy Carter on a un-suspecting American public.

I don't trust these rich Obama backers. They want him to have to face a republican. Beause the charismatic prophet will lose against the pragmatic and patriotic christian republican...no doubt and the democrats will lose for the third time.

Wonder if Soros is motivated at all by the WGA strike?

Artistic expression being one of the last arenas that hasn't been outsourced, and our American capitalists being the loyal patriots that they are, perhaps George sees something coming - or knows that something is coming - that most don't?

Or, rather, sees something going?

Very true. But art is being eliminated from American schools at an alarming rate... and will soon be dead as well.

Perhaps it's the second great depression?

We certainly deserve it for our ignorance and complacency.
