Mistake? Fox News Identifies McCain As A Democrat

Mccain Democrat

Great catch by HotAir: Fox News identified John McCain as a Democrat in the chyron yesterday, forcing us to question just whether this was an "error." McCain is anything but a Reagan figure among the right wing — booed at CPAC, hated by conservative pundits, seen as more liberal than Hillary Clinton (according to Ann Coulter) — and, given Roger Ailes' propensity for propaganda, we honestly have to wonder whether any Fox News mistake is a "mistake."

Mistakes happen.

There are those who even mistakenly identify Congresswoman impeachment-is-off-table Pelosi as a Democrat.

I still say all this McCain bashing by his own party smells like a Rove contrived event. This way you could sway independents into thinking he isnt nearly as bad as the Neo Nazi Right. So the indies who dont like Hillary, maybe on the fence with Obama, might consider McCain. After all, the heaviest supporters of the Evil empire dont appear to like McCain, how bad could he be for the people... Very bad is the answer. He is a lying neo nutzo nazi. Trained poople of the corporate elite. Cant get much worse than Mr. 100 years in Iraq. Except for the Ahole he is wanting to replace.

It's funny how even their mistakes are biased.

Hell, I can top that, they once called holy joe a democrat!!!

These slip-ups of making mistakes in on screen graphics may now trouble or ail Mr Ailes, Sing Kit & Mine Fuddermucker of Faux Noise. If the technicians are careless these mistakes can become common. They tend to erode a network's cred out of existance. Hiring technicians on the cheap can be costly. It could become a step on the road to unemployment if his Rupertship tells Mr Ailes that.

Careless technicians my aunt fanny...they're trying to muddy the waters., Bad=democrat and good=republican.

Oh, I get it. Those fundies won't risk Sen McCain becoming POTUS. The fundies prefer 4 to 8 years of BHO or HRC to a President McCain. They will be madder than a wet hen if W campaigns for John McCain. On the other hand, is a dirty glove, if W campaigns for John McCain- the Democrat candidate will gladly take the votes W will drive to him or her & smile upon entering the White House on 1/20/09.

The childish neo-cons at Fox are crapping their Huggies.
They are losing control of the Repub Party and they just can't take it.

Fox should stick with what they know - anyone they don't like is (L) - the Liberal party.

no mistake--the scum at fox attempt to give the uninformed the wrong information for their old off the wall candidate McCan't

McCain is past his sell-by date

McCain is semi-living proof that 'shelf life' is misrepresented!!!

That was no mistake.
Fox News has nothing to do with accurate reporting and it never has.
If the brainless viewers of this propaganda channel would only stop to research Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch, they'd learn in an instant what a fucking maniac he is, and they'd see how his demented agenda is stuffed into every second of Fox News "reporting."
If I were president, the first thing I'd do is ban Fox News from the Whitehouse pressroom, which should be reserved only for legitimate journalists.
Fox News is no different from the National Enquirer, the Globe or Star Magazine.

Even worse, they once labeled holy joe a democrat.

Wow! Hold your horses Fox the real election has not begun yet, too early to confuse people.

First you assume any one who would know the difference watches FUX News.
Second you are assuming FUX news actually knows the difference.
Stop giving them credit on something they considered a 50/50 chance of being right. All they do all day is flip coins for their 'perspective' 'insight ' or facts
We need to pull the FCC liscensing for that propaganda/ Mis information outlet- they have proven they are not meeting th ebasic standard of keeping the public informed- failure to meet criteria for Licensing.
FEDERAL COMMUNICATION -not Murdock Communications or any other Media Monopoly.
WHAT THE HELL HAPPEND TO OUR FREE PRESS AND REAL FEDERAL GUIDELINES.
Frankly they should have theirs pulled and MSNBC should have at least had their suspended for False Advertising - 'Democratic Debates'- only if all RUNNING DEMS are invited!!!
Shuster's issue is ridiculous compared to the bullshit they've been pulling on Cable News outlets. Let them use CB & short wave radio waves for a while. Or put together their own 'WAynes World' Program.
As for the FCC's lack of oversight and influence in Cable-they do enough to keep nudity and language movie off during the peak hours pretty well. Demand "News" channels only give the news. Then have Op Ed channels for the rest of the crap they claim to be 'News Worthy" HONESTY IN ADVERTISING!!

Purple Girl:
So, I presume that since I do watch Fox News that you presume I am a "dumb sheep". How in the world would you know such a thing?
I am also under the perception that you believe that any news outlet that does not spout the Democrat talking points should not be on the air, period.
I believe that both sides of a story should be presented. I also do not believe that the MSM is, for the most part, not doing that. I also believe in free speech, just as you allege that you do. However, it appears that the "Free Speech" that you desire, is to only have those outlets that agree with your perspective on the air. There are countries that have that system. Venezuela for example. Working out great for the red beret.
I do, however, agree with your last sentence. Op-Ed channels, or at least acknowledgment that a block on a regular channel is op-ed, not fact-based news.

Sorry about the first line. I read several posts before replying, and that line was directed to your post by mistake. My aplogies

The frat-brats running FOX know that Americans are too dumb to pay attention or to know what's going on.

Americans will believe anything Fox tells them because they're just a bunch of dumb sheep!
08:22 AM on 02/09/2008
Do you believe everything that Fox News, or any other "news" outlet tells you? I, for one, do not, although I do watch some programming on Fox News.
I have noticed over the years, that I can watch a news event live, then listen to the talking heads, wondering if we just saw the same thing. Bias, in either direction is not new.
Mistakes are not new, either, although this one I would concede is likely not a mistake!

That was not a mistake. FOX knows what it is doing.
Just like FOX did those stories on Obama that too wasn't a mistake.
