Mr. Bush offered his thoughts not only on Mr. McCain, but also on the other remaining Republican candidate, Mike Huckabee, and the Democrats as well. He also defended former President Bill Clinton, who has been accused of playing on racial sentiments by attacking Mrs. Clinton's opponent, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois.

"I can understand why President Clinton wants to campaign hard for his wife," Mr. Bush said. "And you know, these accusations that Bill Clinton is a racist I think is just wrong. I just don't agree with it."

Mr. Bush did not stick with his earlier prediction that Mrs. Clinton would win.

"I predicted Senator Clinton because I knew that she understands the klieg lights and understands the pressures," he said, adding, "And that race seems far from over to me."

Just because you play the race card doesn't mean you are a rascist. RIP, Johnny Cochran!

I've worked with a lot of different people in the 2 decades I've been out of school, and I'm not looking at your skin color, I'm looking at your work ethic, if anything. I think some people are kind of shady/crafty in and of themselves, and are inclined to be interested in the contents of other people's wallets, some of them used to work in NYC and are now in court, and they are/were fair-skinned, the crafty guy that tried to scam me for 300 bucks was african-american, the guy that tried to intimidate me into giving him 100 bucks was latino, and the guys that got me for 2.5k were mainly caucasian. Yeah, I'm kinda stupid, but my memory works fairly well, and your gender doesn't make you automatically a 'good' person either. The jesus junkies know this saying, 'by their works ye shall know them', meaning that a person's actions are telling about their character, and that's a lot more important than what kind of paint job you got. It's all the same color primer underneath.

Wow, Bush is defending Bill Clinton... pathetic.

That's not exactly "defending".

Bush is getting the words "Clinton" and "racist" in the same sentence together. The idea is for people -- especially the weak-minded ones who still listen to Bubble Boy -- to associate the two.

EXACTLY. And the stupid fucker doesn't even know about noun/verb agreement after going to Yale: "these accusations.... is just wrong."

Bush is a lame duck, shot by Cheney. He is not as lame or as dead as those whose blood he has on his hands. He is not as lame as his brush clearing supporters have been and told him not to worry in August 2001.
When Nixon died I had no pity, for his hands were soaked in the blood of many.
When Reagan died I said okay- people liked him, but they didn't look too close at his hands either.
How dare he interfere with the opposition that fight each other to clear this country's honor.

Like Bush would understand anything about subtle racist remarks. Do the Clintons really need this liar sticking up for them? He's a good gauge to listen to and do the opposite of what he says.

W., don't help, please; the majority of people really don't like you. I'm sorry nobody told you, but it's true.

President Bush has come out in support of the Clintons. Saying "I don"t think Bill is a racist", (talk about triangulation), and that "Obama has no experience". WAKE UP PEOPLE! The Repubs want the Clintons to get the nomination. It"s now CRYSTAL CLEAR! It"s obvious and shame on us if we can"t see them for what they are. Just because we"re paranoid of them, doesn"t mean they"re not manipulating us. The radio news reports (AP news) of the election is playing only Hillary sound bites, listen carefully. The Right control most of the Radio networks. It"s starting to NOT go their way, and their only hope of winning is to run against the Clintons. Don"t be stupid & fooled by Coulter, Limbaugh and the rest. They"re actually saying they"ll campaign for her. They know she"s their only shot. I like her, but no one will admit they"re voting for Bill. She feels like the safe bet, like when you play not to lose. But energizing the right and dividing us into red & blue is exactly what they want us to do. What we need is courage to change it all (she"ll be a part of it, but not front and center), to diffuse any power they have left. It will then be between new and really old, real change and another Bush. That we can win.

OHIO'S LARGEST NEWSPAPER ENDORSES OBAMA !!! SPREAD the WORD !!

Hillary DOES NOT HAVE OHIO LOCKED UP ! In fact, this past Sunday, Ohio's Largest Newspaper (Cleveland Plain Dealer) gave a wonderful endorsement to Barack Obama. Below are a few excepts. Funny....we're not hearing that on the news at all.....So it's up to you...The Obama Warriors to SPREAD THE WORD !

Ohio's Largest Newspaper Endorses Obama !

...Given these similarities, Ohio Democrats have to ask themselves which candidate is more likely, first, to win the White House, and, then, to persuade a closely divided country to embrace his or her vision of change. Put even more pointedly: Who is more likely to change the world of a child born in 2008?...

...The answer, we think, is Barack Obama.
Although Obama stands on the precipice of a historic breakthrough, his personal story is a classic only-in-America saga: A white mother from Kansas. A black father from Kenya. A childhood in multi-ethnic Hawaii. Scholarships to Ivy League schools. Work as a community organizer and later a law professor in Chicago. Two terms in the Illinois Senate, then a landslide election to the U.S. Senate. An electrifying keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
That speech laid out the template for this campaign. He has challenged America to move beyond rigid racial, religious or partisan divides to focus instead on shared, national goals. It's a message that appeals to young voters and independents, to disillusioned Democrats eager to regain a sense of possibility and, yes, hope.

Hillary Clinton is an exceptionally bright and accomplished woman. Only a fool could dispute that. It would be nice if Obama's policy proposals were as meaty as those she has put forward. It's no wonder she wants Democrats to see this race as a choice between résumés.
But in a campaign where history matters, she carries an inordinate amount of baggage. Who wants to relive the soap operas of the 1990s?
America needs a fresh start. Barack Obama is the Democrat to provide it.

No, It was headline news here.

I like HuffPo for that reason, although, they are accused of posting irrelevant topics sometimes, what is clear to me is that all the relevant topics don't escape them.

I think we is missing the real story here.

The real story: Bush said "I disagree that Bill Clinton is a racist. I would know. I've been to the meetings."

I figured it out: I just saw a clip of him on Democracy Now putting Obama down. Bush is supporting the Clintons because they will continue his war and add to his legacy. If Obama is elected and gets us out of Iraq, what does that do for the worth of his agenda in the middle east?
