Thompson Mccain Endorses

Washington Post's The Trail:

Fred Thompson, the one-time Republican presidential candidate, endorsed Sen. John McCain Friday, calling on the party to "close ranks" behind the presumed nominee.

"This is no longer about past preferences or differences. It is about what is best for our country and for me that means that Republican should close ranks behind John McCain," Thompson said in a statement reported by the Associated Press.

This is so stupid. Who else is he going to endorse? And why is this news? I mean, Huckabee is not going to win anyway. The GOP race is so boring.

Shocking. The old white guy likes the other old white guy.

If all of the voters were old white guys, McCain would be a shoe in.

What if you changed the word 'White' in your sentence to "black', and in place of McCain, you put Obabma, then, what do you think the response would be?

So who should win the award for Worst Presidential Campaign of 2008?

Guiliani - Skipping the early primaries and caucauses and arrogantly assuming Florida would give him enough momentum to sail to the nomination.

Thomson - Bought into the media's hype about him being the next Reagan and thought he could just show up and collect the nomination.

Romney - Spent millions of his own money but didn't pile up delegates. It's estimated he spent over a million per delegate. For that much, he could've just given them the money directly in exchange for their vote.
