Bill Kristol Daily Show

Bill Kristol was on "A Daily Show"* last night, and he declared that George Bush will be "a happy ex-president." When asked why, he provided a list of reasons that can best be summed up with exact quotes:

  • "the war in Iraq is going to end up being vindicated"
  • "the economy's been pretty good"
  • "Alito and Roberts are excellent"

Responding to Kristol's claims that Iraq will be democratic and free, Stewart said, "I understand why you feel like you have to say that a lot to yourself, because if I had suggested going in there ten years ago and it turned out this way, I'd feel [expletive] too."

Other highlights include Kristol and Stewart sparring on Anbar and Kristol's admission that "I try to be [human] once every few months."

Watch:

*"The Daily Show" should resume tonight with the end of the writers' strike, bringing an end to Stewart's writer-free "A Daily Show."

We will all be very happy when the schrub become an "ex-president" as well. It can't happen soon enough.

He is absolutely correct. The Country is falling apart and Bush looks happy, he started the War, no problem sleeping ten hours. He has a wedding to plan, ranch to go to !
The only President who does not show any signs of rapid aging.
No brainer to figure out, why ?

Dont slam Kristol and Bush to much. Remember , there were , and still are a fair amount of the American public who admire and support these type of people. Without these type of people, Kristol, Bush wouldnt be able to do what they do. And Without people like Kristol and Bush, large corporations wouldnt rule the US government and we wouldnt have companies like Blackwater, and we wouldnt be at $3 dollar gas, a pisspoor economy, millions of jobs lost to china and india, mindless greed driven invasions of foreign countries, the dollar dropping faster than ever before and the US dying a quick and painful death, just to name a few.

So when you really think about it, its not Kristols and Bush's fault, its the people who support them.

Kristol sez, "There's no place like home, there's no place like home..." click, click, click.... damnit.
maybe if I pinch myself I'll wake up.... damnit..."

Give that guy a cigar so he can keep blowing smoke up his own butt...

poor little Neocon narcissist needs a mirror... just like my parakeet... "Who's that other pretty bird?" bobs up and down and flirts with its own image...

I'm sure sure Bush will be a happy ex president. Ignorance is bliss.

One thing for sure, the happy ex president, won't be happier than 90% of the rest of America, that is living through his nightmare term in office that has made us feel like we were under the riens of some miscreant aliens from some miscreant planet.

Kristol along with Bush are perfect examples of how legacy and money will destroy the human race.

The NY Times and the Daily Show may put up with his crap but God can not be happy.

From all of the angst and vitriol seen in the world against this man, one could think that the Anti Christ, just might be better liked than he is.

"Ignorance is bliss." is a saying that applies to Bush. Call me cynical, but I just don't see much of a reflective mind in old George. He's stubborn, and sure that "History" will prove him right. So he will kick back and cut brush at the ranch, and do an occasional speech. He will be treated as somewhat of a novelty act, and probably be on the boards of the company's that he has helped make rich during his tenure in office. No way will he command the speaking fees that Clinton gets. Clinton actually has something to say and an outlook based on historical perspective. Bush will talk about the "Grecians" ( he actually called them that).

Bush will be a very happy ex-president because he'll no longer have to live in a country where he's president.

At what point in time, after endless propaganda to kill people, after acres and acres of false statements and miscalculations, at what point in time does one lose a platform for speaking?

Oh, that just gets you to a higher level.

He will go down in history as the first President of the United States who will be afraid to travel overseas because of all the indictments for war crimes and crimes against humanity that will be filed in much more civilized countries than the USA.

I am losing hope that he will be indicted in the USA.

Bush will be a happy ex-president, because he will be a drunk ex-president. Right now he's a dry drunk, intoxicated with the deference, attention, and all-around sucking up that supports his egomania.

When he leaves office, and his sycophants won't even bother to return his phone calls, three guesses whither he'll turn, and the first two don't count.

He couldn't possibly happier than I'll be.

Why will George W. Bush be a happy ex-president?

Hmmm. I'd like "Cuz prezidentin' is hard work and now I kin relax back at th' ranch" for $200, Alex!

Bzzzz!

Oh! Sorry! A good answer, but we were looking for: "Because he is too stupid and lacks the empathy of hanging-chad to realize the disasters he has created and left for others.

Perhaps, worst of all, the news "media"--reverting to its default chamelion character--will begin to soften its current verdict on both BUSH'S char. and his adm. in the same ways they have bowdlerized the disastrous adm. of Gerald Ford (who was over his head even as a Boy Scout!).
The news "media" hope that by ignoring the end of the Bush adm., readers/voters won't consider how VERY uncritical they were at the BEGINNING of the BUSH catastrophe!!!!

Indeed, Bush may be a happy ex-president. After all, he's accomplished most of the extreme right wing's agenda, as well as fill the coffers of the American military-industrial complex and his Saudi Arabian buddies who control the oil. It has long been a goal of the RWNJ's (right-wing-nut-jobs) to bankrupt the government so that it would be forced to curtail all social spending, and drive the final stake into the New Deal. Bush and his Repub "cut taxes, wage wars, borrow money, and then spend it" pals have indebted us to such a degree that it will take generations to dig ourselves out. Rove's oft-stated dream of sending America back to the Gilded Age, that wonderful time of a few millionaires growing rich on the backs of their exploited workers, has also come to pass. The disparity of wealth is currently just as skewed as it was then. Rove's dream of a one-party government has been derailed, but these people are persistent. And most frightening, this administration and it's backers have made clear that the Constitution is an annoying inconvenince, and that the rule of law may apply to the peasants, but certainly not to the president. Bush will be a happy ex-president. By his own terms, he's been an amazing success.

Can someone tell me what possible difference it would make to the rest of us if Bush was or was not an unhappy ex-President?

Is that our collective national goal now, to make little Georgie feel good about himself?
