Dennis Miller doesn't have much luck with sports. He was unceremoniously dumped by ABC as a commentator for "Monday Night Football" in 2002, and now his Versus cable channel show, "Sports Unfiltered With Dennis Miller," looks destined for the scrap heap after just three months. "Frankly, it doesn't look good," a former staffer tells Santa Barbara News-Press columnist Richard Mineards.

Dennis Miller and his "comedy" has always been terrible. Meanness and adolescent sarcasm isn't funny once you're beyond the age of 15. So even before Miller became the court jester for the Ruling Class, he was a poor excuse for a comedian.

Miller spends so much time on his knees, swallowing whatever the GOP spews, he's starting to look like Linda Lovelace.

I head the guy interviewed on the Dan Patrick show a while back and he came across as truly emblematic of the right today--foolish, emotion-driven blatherings without regard to facts or even common knowledge.

This asshole is singularly responsible for the downfall of Monday Night Football and the death of the Howard Cosell legend. It took John Madden to clear out the foul odor of booze and butt-stains and his half-ass attempts at Cosellian pedantry in right-wing drag. I really wouldn’t give a shit what he has to say about Chinese intramural league ping-pong; his drunk monkey-fuc­king-a-foo­tball act drove Frank Gifford and his loyal fans to despair and they’ll never get that smell of vomit out the carpet.
