My guess is Hillary is getting the donations from republicans who want her as the (beatable) candidate.

Let's see - if we can figure out what Obama has raised in February. In January he raised $32 million from 170,000 contributions - that's about $188 per contribution. If that follows for February:

He has had over 460,000 contributions since the start of January. That means he has had 290,000 contributions since February 1. And let's assume he's only averaged half of what he did in January - $94 per contribution.

290,000 contributions x $94 = $27,260,000 or almost $1.5 million per day.

Now THAT is impressive.

Obama's added 20,000 new contributions in the 4 hours since he was projected the winner of WI.

Even at a low average of $94/contributor - that's almost $2 million in 4 hours.

Obama is now over 510,000 contributions in 2008. That's an increase of 50,000 contributions since I first posted my comment last night.

Makes you wish all donations included the question "Were you previously donating to the Romney campaign?".

Lobbyists! Lobbyists!

Well said iPolitics (and very succinct). How much of her money came from the lobbyists that control way too much (i.e. ALL) of Washington politics? Our government is supposed to be of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE and for the PEOPLE, not the corporations. Sen. Obama will owe his election to the people. Sen. Clinton will owe hers to the corporations.

By the way, I want to apologize for plagiarizing Abraham Lincoln.
