That H&K would want to distance themselves from Blackwater is a rational and sound business decision. Blackwater is rapidly becoming "radioactive" It is weathering the fallout, for now, because it is wired in as tight politically with the Bush Administration as it is possible to get. Still, the expiration date on that little arrangement is rapidly approaching and when the rocks get turned over it's going to get really really ugly. I notice nobody wants Blackwater's parachute team to came with a hundred miles of their event anymore.

I used to work for Wackenhut. They are armed with pistols, and in some areas shotguns and submachine guns. They are a security corporation, and very large, run by ex-government employee. Blackwater is exactly the same, and is controlled by whatever contracts they have. That H&K would sever their relationship (whatever that means?) is meaningless. Neither H&K nor Blackwater were going to have legal problems over the relationship, but H&K has to live within the sheep-style confines of Germany.
Nothing put out here has yet defined the exact crimes Blackwater has committed as a Corporation, merely the possible errors, or crimes, of a few Blackwater employees. As for New Orleans, I deplore the forcible searches and confiscation of firearms from those who had stayed behind, but they were following the orders of their contractor.
