Mayor Bloomberg charged yesterday that "fraud" was behind the unofficial results in the New York Democratic presidential primary that produced zero votes for Barack Obama in some districts.

"If you want to call it significant undercounting, I guess that's a euphemism for fraud," said the mayor.

This is just one more example of the Clinton do anything to win strategy. This is what we are trying to end in Washington. My new campaign slogan for Barack Obama is, "A Vote For Hillary Is One Too Many" In the general he only has to substitute Mc Cain for Hillary which should be easy, as they are so close in nature. Has anyone noticed that her Campaign Signs do not say Clinton for President? What is she trying to hide from?

Since we know there is "fraud" in a free election, and we are always saying that we love democracy, It must be safe to assume there will be an investigation or a total recount in NY? Everyone's vote should be counted. If I lived in NY and I knew that I voted for Obama in one of those zero precints I would be raising holy hell right now. I'm surprised they aren't rioting in the streets.

I wonder though, if it would make a difference in the outcome of the primaries. If Obama actually won NY it would have been devastating to the Clinton campaign. But the fact that he lost has not seemed to stop him or slow him down.

No paper, no vote.

Good start Bloomberg, now do something about it.

Unless you have something to count [paper ballots] what's the point. Anybody can change digital numbers. You could delete the whole thing in the blink of an eye.

Not to worry, God has his hands on this. Yes, they can cheat, but we all know at the end of the day, Cheaters never win and winniners never cheat!!

Fraud was also suspected in Hillary's New Hampshire win; even Kucinich who was still in the race then, called for a re-count and donated $10,000 towards the effort.

Yes, but the nice thing in NH is that we have paper ballots. You can re-count them.

Which doesn't prevent ballot box stuffing, but it does make it a lot harder to accomplish than just changing a number on a computer somewhere.

Liam.

The voting equipment is too complex for the 80 year old people running the polls, maybe they should get some folks with some computer skills, you'd think that Bloomberg could figure that out.

Are there paper ballot so a re-count is possible? Are the machines Dieboldt? What is the time frame on all this? When will the NY results be certified, and by whom? Any toes to a campaign? I'm surprised to see none of these questions addressed in the media.

Actually this story has been going on for awhile it is all about preliminary results and not actual results. After the counts have been completed Obama had votes in these precincts, I'm not sure of the final outcomes, wins or losses, but I think this is much ado about nothing in that all of the hullabaloo was over preliminary results not the final results. As to the machines they are mechanical lever type machines not electronic. How the udercount happened no one seesm to have offered and explanation other then it was an error of some kind that has been resolved.

Im glad he said something. Hillary has a diebold bump people! The voting machines that have made some Hillary contributors political phat cats are easily hackable and very insecure. Not to mention these are the same machines that reported a -6000 for John Kerry in one district one year. Yes it was actually negative. Greedy people with money tried to buy their way into our voting system and the Clintons are just trying to benefit from a little of it. This is the same thing Kucinich was raising questions about earlier that people have under covered. Can we ditch the corporate cronies and neocolonialists yet? I mean if Hillary wants to represent the world government she thinks is so inevitable it might help to care about them instead of her rich 1% friends.

Obama 08!

UNiVote and SCOTUS13 are a few of my suggestions for proceeding
w/ the deBushification of America's great experiment with democracy.

Each state and each party should operate under the same set of rules and if
our Supreme Court doesn't agree, that is one more reason for SCOTUS13!!!

There has to be a simple way to vote and be counted and uniformity is a necessity. In fact, I think it should be the same, around the world. I nominate Jimmy Carter to head UNiVote!!!

Jimmy Carter was the WORST Democatic President in 100 years, his failed leadership destroyed any chances for DEMS. I think the problem they had in Harlem was that the PEOPLE RUNNING THE POLLS were unskilled and didn't know what they were doing, It happens in Detroit too.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:55 PM on 02/21/2008

People "running" the polls are always elderly where I live (Virginia). No accusations of under counting, all to the disadvantage of one candidate here. I guess you could call us the "control?"
I get really sick of older folks getting blamed for this bs in one way or another, especially the ones that volunteer their time to work at the polls.

Why do you say Jimmy Carter was the worst Democratic President in 100 years? Any specific policies, appointments, legislative initiatives?

Or are you just another misinformed product of the right wing MSM, parroting what you've heard a thousand times?

Obviously, it has become long overdue that HRC say bye-bye. She hasn't got what it takes, and her and her husband's narcissism have become extremely tiresome.

Gotta love your "hope" and "inspiration"!! I guess this how you will work to "reach across the ailes to republicans?"

You Obamaniacs really blow my mind, you talk about change and moving forward and hope and inspiration, bipartisanship and yet you guys cant even reach across your OWN PARTY.

By the way, haven't all of us been fighting together against Bush for 7 years?? And b/c I don't agree w you on your candidate that gives you the right to insult HRC or ME?

I work REALLY hard to try for intellegent discourse about the issues. I love it that we are engaged but I don't see a need to be so hateful. AT THE END OF THE DAY, IF OBAMA WINS, YOU NEED THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT HRC TO WIN THE GENERAL. Try to reach out a litte, we're not enemies.

But, what does that have to do with Hillary's candidacy?

Say I have a great way to end all this voter fraud crap. Why don't we count the voters going into the polls and compare them to the vote total coming out. That way we will have a better idea of the precentage of errors as well as which states we need to revamp the process. Who's with me on this?????

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:34 PM on 02/21/2008

They are supposed to compare the total number of votes to make sure that none exceeds the number of voters presented at the poll. That's doesn't account for purposeful undervotes, though.

Pretty much that is being done already considering you have to sign a book in order to vote that will give you the incoming count. Some people though still do not vote for everything on a ballot, these are called under votes, this would skew your results now what? Force everyone to make a choice on everything on a ballot?

Tick, tick, tick...

Who dunnit ain't gonna' do nothin' to stop it.

Who is hired to stop it, and hasn't?

Who wants a system that CAN'T stop it?
This isn't some vandal spray painting on sign boards, it's the usurpation of everything that American Service men die to protect.

It'd be nice to catch the perp... Make everyone feel great. But the people who fuck this system up don't even have to hide it anymore. It's almost as if they WANT you to know that you can't do a damn thing about it.

Like the way a lynching was supposed to make people understand that there wasn't no one or nuthin' that could protect you from the mob. The way a burnin' cross let you know that there were people in this country who could anything they wanted... And others who couldn't do anything about it.

Secret police sure haven't done anything to stop it... Isn't it a Federal Crime?
