Vicki Iseman's Bio Pulled From Web

  |   February 20, 2008 09:47 PM

Within hours of the New York Times story going public, Vicki Iseman's bio was pulled from the web site of her firm, Alcade and Faye.

We've captured a screenshot (click for a larger image), and here's a cached version still available online:

WONDER when Ms Vicki's book deal will come through???

And, wonder WHY the msm hasn't gotten her on a prime time interview show...

It would be interesting to hear her side.

Iseman was loosed on this old fart by her company to deliver the goods. She did. Everybody won but her. She's the one who was used, front and back (know what I mean?). I'm not saying she did anything unknowingly or that she was innocent, but I am saying that all she got out of it, that we know of, was a paycheck. Sex or no sex, a lobbyist is nothing more than a whore, and the American taxpayer is the jilted spouse.

Marilyn Monroe,.. Monica Levinsky,.. Vicky Iseman, .. what a sad demonstration of declining standards for the cheating politicians. I am not even bringing up the appearance of Larry Craig's toilet date.

Yes,reading her bio.
Vicki is good at digital and communication stuff.....

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:20 PM on 02/23/2008

Interesting about the story being kinda a flash in the pan, but if they were going to take something down, I'd suggest that awful photo.

And BTW having taught at IUP (her alma mater) I don't think much of an "Education" grad. Guess she just learned sex sells.

I've collected three photos:

A request is in for her HS photos.

and its still up now unchanged, somebody posted a broken link to begin with and created this bogus story. (sorry if double-posted)

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:52 PM on 02/22/2008

huffpo, why is this bogus story still up? Soon as it was posted i checked to see if the bio was up and it was http://www.alcalde-fay.com/meet_the_firm/BiosDetail.cfm?id=84
and its still up, the bio was never taken down, and is still exactly the same, this story is bogus.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:47 PM on 02/22/2008

Where is the statement from Vicki Iseman? Why do we only get her "firm" denying the story?

She has been photographed carrying an Women Love McCain poster at his events.

Is there some reason for her silence now?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:45 PM on 02/22/2008

Iseman's bio has been there since yesterday, it is STILL there, and Huff Post needs to retract this bullshit.

if it was pulled, it was very, very briefly.

we don't need a screenshot, here's the bio still at her firm's site:

McCain denied this morning that he cheated on his wife Cindy, appearing with her at a press conference to insist: "I am very disappointed in the New York Times piece. It"s not true." He also explained that he had spoken with Times Executive Editor Bill Keller in an attempt to set the record straight and persuade the paper to spike the story. Keller appears to have made the decision to run it.

This is where it gets interesting.

In a September 2006 New York magazine story, journalist Joe Hagan described the circumstances behind Keller"s marriage to his second wife, the French gin-namesake Emma Gilbey (who is also an ex-something of U.S. Senator John Kerry, but I digress¦) and his divorce from National Public Radio reporter Ann Cooper.

Here"s the important bit from the 2006 New York piece:

¦ Keller wrote one last piece on South Africa, an article for the Times Magazine about Nelson Mandela"s wife, Winnie, in which he cited a book called The Lady: The Life and Times of Winnie Mandela. The following week, the magazine published a letter by the book"s author [Emma Gilbey] ¦

After reading the letter, Keller called Gilbey, a British journalist living in New York, and asked her to coffee at the Times cafeteria. Gilbey, at the time, had a reputation as something of a power-dater; her exes included Senator John Kerry and Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour. An affair ensued, which shocked Keller"s friends. "I felt bad for everyone involved," says Stephen Engelberg, a former Times reporter. "This was not characteristic behavior at all. I wouldn"t pretend to be Bill"s psychologist, but he didn"t get a red sports car, so ¦"

¦ Two years after they met, Gilbey was pregnant, Keller was divorced from Cooper, and he had a new job as [Times] managing editor.

Glass houses. I"m just saying.

Yeah, McCain cheated on his first wife (who was disabled at the time) with the woman who became his second wife. I'm really sure she's confident in his trustworthiness. And last time I checked, Keller wasn't running for President of the United States on his stellar ethical record. I'm just sayin'.

Arianna, kudos to you and your staff for capturing that bio before the lobbyists were able to pull it!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:55 PM on 02/21/2008

there was no need for a screenshot, the bio is right here:

in plain sight.

Anyone know Brecht's play "The Caucasian Chalk Circle"? Azdak the judge reminds me of McCain, always on the take.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:45 PM on 02/21/2008

In politics there is always dirt to be found. The only difference is which of the politicians is more dirty! That's always the most important question for voters! We can spend all our energies digging for dirt, never being satisfied. Or we can look the politician in the face, and see which is more sincere. But even this can be deceiving, so it has to be done with prudence. Sen. McCain has many faults, and so does Sen. Obama. They both are stooped in "political dirt," to be sure. But Americans may be forced to choose between one of them. In such eventuality, I will look at their religious "souls," more than anything else! Are both baptized Christians? Do they both have valid baptism certificates? Where they stand on killing the defensless unborn? Where they stand on death penalty, with no mercy? How do they view the poorest of the poor? I have some strong reservations about Mrs. McCain on that. I have noticed that she applauds always when the talk is about the destitute and disabled forging their American Dream, raising themselves by their own bootstraps. I have always recoiled at that mean applause. But this a personal perception, and I may well be wrong. Still, these are the things that the American people must look for!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 02:52 PM on 02/21/2008

you want baptism certificates?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:50 PM on 02/22/2008

Are you freaking KIDDING ME? With all there is to look at and consider in these two men's campaigns and records, you're going to choose your president based on who has a piece of paper that proves they were dunked under water as a child? Yeah, don't consider things like McCain being in favor of 100 years more war or anything Mr. pro-life! (WAR is NOT a family value, neither is it pro-life!)

Sigh. This country is doomed!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:59 PM on 02/22/2008

It's right here:
http://www.alcalde-fay.com/meet_the_firm/BiosDetail.cfm?id=84

This took like five seconds to find. Try doing some research.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:23 PM on 02/21/2008

They said it was a CACHED version. Which means that it was taken from an earlier version of the website. An earlier version may have had a lower id number.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 02:42 PM on 02/21/2008

Um, your link's just broken. Her ID number is 84, not 44. This took about seventeen seconds for me to find. Nice reporting!!!!

Of course, knowing what I know about databases, they may have pulled it and reinstated it, resulting in the new higher #.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:45 PM on 02/21/2008

What do they think they're hiding?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:43 AM on 02/21/2008

What are they hiding?

Well, have you ever known an education major? At a mid-rank school? If so, would you expect that person to have a probing intellect? This is one of the tragic ironies of the US education system -- the people who train to teach are often the most ill-suited.

If this woman had a law degree, or a graduate degree or second major in political science, or some indication that she was trained in astute analysis of esoteric technical information, then it would make sense for her to work on behalf of a fairly wonky industry like those she "represents." As it is, her bio indicates that she pursuades with something other than her brain.

I'm a woman, and a feminist, and I'm not proud of my assessment here, but that's what I think.

Why does McCain regularly become entangled in the excesses of lobbying? Ron,NY

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:03 AM on 02/21/2008

Another repressed republican discovers his libido. Big whoops. This is going to be fun!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:40 AM on 02/21/2008

Rumor has it during the Vietnam war McCain was all about the poontang. If he hadn't been shot down and become an 'accidental' war hero he would've just been another skirt-chasing flyboy jock partyboy... like Bush, actually!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:55 AM on 02/22/2008

I love the Aristotle quote on the top there. I think it is very ironic that it comes from a lobbying firm. I don't think that there is enough evidence to say whether the story is true or not. Why did the NY Times hold on to the story for so long? Something is fishy in Denmark, and it ain't the fish.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:02 AM on 02/21/2008

We are so doomed.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:51 AM on 02/21/2008

Mr. "Straight Talk Express" selling influence? Reminds one of the Keating Five (see Wikipedia, or any of many other references).
I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same.
