1. True

2. If true now, will last more than 10 minutes if they do hit the "big time" (I'm ancient, so I have never heard of them)

This desperation to bring "purity" role models into the forefront of teen culture is just kind of pathetic though. Wasn't Britney a virgin for the longest, too? See how that worked out? If you make your living gyrating and grinding and wearing sexed up clothing and playing sexed up music, it never rings true when you start talking about how "pure" you are.

I am a mom. My daughter will be into this stuff sooner than I am ready for her to be. I know I will have issues with her and her emerging sexuality. Part of me will want her to live at home and remain a virgin until she is out of grad school too...But then reality sets in.

And if I am dumb enough to believe that some pop star will encourage her to remain a virgin...then I am really living in a dream world. Frankly, I prefer the raucous rockers. What you see is what you get.
