Clinton: Obama Untested, Just Like Bush Was

Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton today sought to draw parallels to President Bush and her current rival, Barack Obama, saying Bush was an untested commodity as a Republican candidate for the White House who promised voters change and "the American people got shafted."

"So, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me," Clinton, facing a difficult task in trying to stall Obama's momentum, told a crowd at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College this morning as she tried to woo voters in a March 4 primary that is critical to the fate of her candidacy.

Hillary. Better we vote for someone "untested" than someone who has failed the test many times.

I will vote for Obama or Hillary.

Will You?

Or are you really a rethug?

To all those sincere Dem out there: Neither candidate that the corporatist MSM allowed to debate is perfect. Both must seem reasonably corporatist, both must seem likely to continue the war, or the corporations won't let them play. Both must play politics. As every election I have ever experienced, we end up voting for the perceived lesser of two evils.

I WILL VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRATS PICK.

Beware the provocateurs, both covert rethug and deranged dem. You can tell, because they threaten to vote for Brain Dead McCain or Neverland Nader.

Stupid is as stupid does... Comparing Barack Obama to George Bush is quite a stretch even for Mrs. Clinton. Anybody with half a brain could see that Mr. Obama has one and actually uses it while Mr. Bush either lost his or should otherwise be declared brain-dead.

I did not know that running for President, is not a pressure cooker. It is probably the reason why Colin Powell, having been a general, in Iraq War I, did not run.
Probably there was not enough pressure for him, the great general, in there.
You know what? This is why Barack Obama
has become the "Teflon candidate" this stupid, inane accusations that do not stick.
You think being born a person of color is not pressure itself. Trust me, I am a person of color, and I know pressure: Barack Obama, knows pressure, He has been Tested, He ready, Now! Thank you.

Enough said.

It is time we stood up for something.

Yes, We Can!

Hillary says barack is untested, what exactly is the test, and when and how was she tested. we would also like to know how her being tested shows she will be a good president. as far as i know all human beings are tested at some point in their life? so please hillary how are your tests relevant to bein president

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:18 PM on 02/24/2008

He hasn't been tested under pressure, and he hasn't been tested against the GOP yet either. He whines about Hillary attacking him, what's he going to do when the real shit-storm starts??
Hillary is the most vetted candidate in the entire race. The GOP has been trying to sink the Clintons for over a decade now, and they are still standing. I only hope obama can say the same, a decade from now.

So far, all I can figure out is that she thinks she's been tested because Bill cheated on her, humiliated and embarrassed her. (It's hard to tell, though, because she never actually COMPLETES those sentences she starts; she just smiles and give the audience/camera that "you know what I mean" *wink wink* look as her sentence drifts off...

Maybe that's part of the problem. Maybe some Americans DON'T want Bill back wandering around the White House again, afraid that Hillary's attention would be divided between running the country and making sure that Bill doesn't humiliate her/us any more.

Maybe some Americans are just plain TIRED of the last two American presidents' character and integrity being nothing but unkind caricatures for the last 15 years: One a serial womanizer with no self-control, unable to keep it zipped, and the other threatening to annihilate the entire world while simultaneously annihilating the English language on a daily basis.

Maybe some Americans just want someone new and different who obviously possesses those "family values" everyone talks about wanting without bragging and grandstanding about same.

Maybe some Americans just want America to be taken seriously as a country again and wants to see our credibility restored around the world.

I know I do.

Exactly. We need to see an official transcript, with the test(s) Hillary passed, the grade she received, and the class average.

Great news today. Because of Clinton campaign lies and calling me delusional and now making all the people who go to obama rallies , instead of listening to uplifting speeches and now to listen to long policy manuals which all of us college educated and yound and old had all read. But the low income blue workers never could. So carryinng bitterness and literal hatred for the clintons into the next few months WE wont HAVE TO SIT AT HOME AGAINT HILLARY, WE CAN SHOW HOW MANY MORE VOTES OBAMA COULD HAVE GOTTEN BY VOTING FOR NADER

all of us who have payed attention only because of his uplifting inspirational speeches and since he happened to be democrat would have swept enough democrats to power to change the power structure to get things done , vote for NADER AND LET HILLARY KEEP HER POLICY FOLLOWERS BORING OLD DEMOCRATS AND SINGLE SEXIST WOMEN.

I saw Hillary ranting about Obama and 'change', saying GWB came into office promising 'change'. What Hillary neglects to add is that the change GWB was running on was to "restore honor and integrity" to the Oval Office, a well placed dig at Bill and Monica's sexual affair in the Oval Office.

I want to think loud here. A lot of republicans in the south are saying this? I have not had a stomach to ask them as to why her? is is because this is one way for them to say that we will vote for a black and a woman for a ceremonial post with no power and prove to the world that we are not sexist or racist.
For if they were sincere and had a different motive then they would just say : i wish she would run for president so I could vote for her.

Think about this Lynnjss; On late Edition Sunday Republican Chuck Hagel of Nebraska who just got back from Iraq said this; The new president neeeds to engage with foreign country's like Cuba an Iran. This follow's what Senator Obama is saying. He says you can't bring about change unless you talk and rearch ou to leader's of other country's. He also agree's Iraq and afganistan is a sign United States is trying to build Nation's with war---and it's wron. This directly against Mccain saying we need to be in Iraq. war 100 years. Even Republilcans are willing to reach across and go with Sen.in the Dem. party who say's we must talk to foriegn leaders. Cuba talk and trade would bring U.S. millions in Export as they would buy our products from our fields, and food we grow. It would be more fair trade than we have now with China and vietnam who imports more than import and who also ar communist nations like cuba. Mccain has such Hate for Cuba he will not open up for talk or trade----even if it means million for U.S. to export our goods to them. Mccain and Hillary's Idea is not to talk to cuba 'UNLESS THEY DO WHAT WE WANT THEM TO DO'. Mccain will sty the course in Iraq he says maybe for 100 years. When Republican Senators are talking like Obama you know he can unite this country to get things done and soon after takeing office with-out splitting our goverment like Mccain and Hillary would do.

Mr Yellow Dog

Look at his legislative record of working with the republicans to get things done. All his life he has tried to bring people together. Read his book audacity of hope and find out how brutally honest he is and then make up your mind. I am convinced that if you do not find in your heart to vote for him after reading the book then may be you are a republican at heart. Admit that and that is fine. if you can not vote for him because of his name or race there is nothing i can do to convince you. If you have bought into the empty rhetoric bs of the clinton campaIGN, READ HIS BOOKS, GO TO HIS RALLIES, LISTEN TO THE DEBATES AND READ DETAILES POSITIONS ON HIS WEB SITES. and would you please explain to me what makes you a yellow dog democrat? does that mean a social conserative ( and please tell me that is not a code word for racist , for I know too many whites in the south who are not racist anymore ) and economic liberal?

"lynnjss" you are clearly a pro-war Republican if you would vote for McCain/Rice. Sorry to break the news. And the fact that you could willingly sentence this country to more wars, more destruction of the economy, more environmental degradation, more destruction of our children's education, more conservative Supreme Court justices rather than vote for the Democratic candidate that isn't your first choice also shows that you are incredibly selfish and small-minded.

Come On. Be a little objective. She is closer to Obama's position on the war and knows how to end it responsibly. She alone did not start this war.

What this post is saying is that the politics that the Obama Campaign are using are the same that Bush used. Smiles on the podium for the masses and sleazy smears and misleading advertising directly marketed to the voters.

From what I can tell Clinton has not hidden any of her attacks.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:57 AM on 02/24/2008

Not hidden any of her attacks? You've never heard of Hillary's ugly push polls? You didn't see her anonymous flyers untruthfully claiming that Obama did not support a woman's right to choose? Where have you been during this campaign?

Another dishonest obamaite. She did not vote for war. It wasn't determined, when the vote was taken, whether bush was going to invade or not. She voted to authorize the use of military force IF Saddam didn't comply. Bush got the inspectors out before they were finished. He didn't have to start a war. He chose to anyway, and Hillary had nothing to do with that choice. Hillary is not the commander-in-chief, she's not the "decider," or the "War President," and couldn't order a war on anybody. You know damn well know who is at fault, and it isn't any democrat. It's the bushies and you know this. So does obama. It's very sleasey of him to condemn Hillary for a vote he was never required to make.

"She did not vote for war. It wasn't determined, when the vote was taken, whether bush was going to invade or not."

It's a toss-up whom this talking point insults more--Is it Hillary, who must have been the only person in America (if not the world) who did not know exactly what use George Bush intended to put the resolution to? Or is it the electorate, who is expected to swallow this absolutely preposterous nugget of BS?

Untested?!? In what way? Please do some research. Long Before entering the U.S. Senate (no small feat in itself) Senator Obama was able to get good people to do good things for themselves. He boiled down THE PEOPLEs' complex issues, showed them how to achieve their goals by uniting great people with great ideas from all over the map (in a good way), and inspired THE PEOPLE to believe that they could do what they wanted and be who they wanted to be in America. NOW THAT'S DEMOCRACY! - And in the Senate? Over One Thousand Bills with his name on them. Many of them authored by Senator Obama himself. (Mostly good ones IMHO) FIFTEEN LAWS PASSED IN HIS FIRST TWO YEARS! -not including the renaming of post offices- WOW! He's a Junior Senator? GOOD WORK SIR! This Man Gets Things Done. Period. His Rhetoric is a Blessing.

I bet you when all the obama democrats will vote for Nader, they will blame him for entering the race. They will conveniently forget all the hatred and lies that came from their campaign to turn us off. i have spent so much time trying to convince so many republicans why to vote for him and I feel very strongly that a lot of them will. but With Hillary if I even started a conversation along those lines I would have lost all credibility.
any way Good luck to senator Clinton: win by telling lies and then winning obama supporters. If she would have won on her records and had chosen not to discredit our leader i would have gladly voted for her in general election, even if i could not have brought a lot of republicans to vote for her.

I am sure a lot of Clinton supporters would now post hate mail, call me sexist stupid, and tell me do i want to have 4 more years of bush policies and so and so and will say Nader is this of that.

In response all of that : I was motivated by a leader who is honest , different, inspirational. he made me get out of my sluber, I attended my first political gathering live, i made my first campaign contribution, I read his book, I reseached his positions, i also liked his truth telling , honest other half, and I felt proud to be an American on the grounds of seeing that our fellow americans have moved beyond race like i always beleived ( I am not talking about other patriotic issues right now, like I am proud to be an american because of our wonderful constitution, and proud to be an american because of people like JFK, Senator Byrd, our leadership in saving millions in bosnia, proud of our scientific accomplishments, proud to be an american when at the end of every election a president just leaves instead of a civil war reqired to throw him away ) . And I feel after all this that if he looses to Senator Clinton because of her lies, theatrics, attacking him for being inspirational, for telling the truth about her health care plan ( though i wish his was universal sigle payer ) and controlling the media by throwing hissy fits then I have a right to cast a protest vote.
