...Clinton blamed her woes in part on unfair press coverage but said she believed Obama had come under increased media scrutiny in recent days. She urged the group to watch the latest episode of "Saturday Night Live," which featured a skit mocking last Thursday's CNN debate as little more than a love fest for Obama.

"People are starting to say, 'Hey, you know, we've got two candidates. We've been a little more focused on one than the other in terms of asking hard questions. Let's start looking at both of them. The voters of this country deserve to have a real election,'" she said.

I support Hillary, but I don't think CNN in particular has shown a bias against her. The Democratic debates have been pretty fair, except in the case of the earlier elections with John Edwards. Obama and Clinton could both manipulate themselves to look like the victims of negative media bias.

I might be wrong, but I believe that if the Clintons get back in the White House, the whole country will rue the day. And I am scared, yes, scared, that she will somehow pull it off---with her dirty tactics and her fake tears.
A Clinton co-presidency (and anyone who believes it won't be just that, is too optimistic by half) will be the ruin of this nation. God help us if it happens.

I have to admit that first I thought is was a great idea to have them both in the White House, but the more they campaign the more I see how it could be a disaster. They have brought back all that was bad about the 90's when Democrats like me had to defend their sad behavior.

First of all, MSNBC has been saying all morning that the SNL skit was a slam against Obama.

If this "tough" woman is going to whine about SNL skits, then she needs to leave the race. She is not presidential material. Her whining about the press, when they haven't pressed her for tax returns, her papers from Clinton's library that would finally document her failed health care reform, or Bill's donor lists that could be potential campaign laundering and/or conflicts of interest. If the press was in any way biased against Hillary Clinton, they would be asking for these things.

But two-word phrases of Obama's get a 3-day news cycle.

For a 60 year old woman, she sure is acting like a third grader.

Hillary wasn't whining about SNL. Clinton was just saying that the comedy show was making her point that the media fawns over Obama and is more critical of her. Since you, apparently, have no understanding of what is really happening in the world, my advice to you is stay home on election day.

The Media continually allows the Clinton Campaign continually get away with malicious smears, sleaze, corruption and not declaring Hillary's Income Tax Returns. Hillary steals ideas and slogans whenever she can, adopts a bizarre Southern accent during speeches, bullies journalists and takes her lead from Mark Penn's focus groups. The Clintons are out of ideas and have little left to offer except smears, backroom deals and the calling in of favours. It may have escaped people's notice - but the old Clinton team from 92 is now running the campaign - Maggie Williams, Penn, Blumenthal, Ickes etc. Dirty tricks, $ 20m from the Uranium deal, taking money from Norman Hsu, pardoning Mark Rich, getting Ed Rendell to play the race card again in Pennsylvania, and underhand campaigning is what these people specialise in.
Their motto remains : win by any available means and to hell with decency, honesty and integrity.
Why doesn't the Media make the Clinton Campaign release Hillary Clinton's records of their 8 years in the White House ? What is she afraid of exposing ? What is she hiding from the voters ?

Top Hillary sycophant, Lanny Davis, wrote a piece in the Huffington Post recently saying that the contest must be decided by the Superdelegates ( but only if they favour Hillary Clinton) and in this piece he wrote " you can't change the rules in the middle of the game" . Fair Enough. Unfortunately - Lanny Davis has also argued that the rules of the game should indeed be changed for Florida and Michigan and that Hillary Clinton can break her word, go back on her pledge to abide by the DNC's ruling - and claim all of these delegates ( irrespective of whether Obama's name was on the ballot or not, irrespective of no actual campaign ever being held in either State) .The Clintons are sheer opportunists and lack integrity. Davis went on the talk shows at the weekend and accused Obama of being a cheat and a liar. In reality - Lanny Davis and the Clintons own the rights on cheating, stealing elections and lying.

Instead of these petty distractions Hillary Clinton should be apologising for the hundreds of thousands killed and/or injured by her blind support for the Bush/Cheney War Policies. Instead of this rubbish she should be explaining why she failed to get Universal Healthcare Bill passed during their 8 years in the White House. She should be releasing her Income Tax Returns and stop hiding them. She should stop her staff from engaging in smears and negative campaigning. She should not allow her senior confidents to violate campaign law by setting up ' independent' groups to pour millions into advertising her candidacy and to attack Obama.

Unfortunately - Hillary Clinton will continue with her low brow, nasty Campaign. They would still be playing the race card every day if there hadn't been a backlash.
This is pattern by the Clinton smear machine - who can't beat Obama on Optimism so they will go negative all the time.

The following two paragraphs are taken from a Sarah Baxter article, The Sunday Times ( London) Feb. 17th.

" Clinton’s camp has been circulating stories criticising the “cult” of Obama in the hope of portraying “Obamania” as a mass delusion. Media Matters, a watchdog organisation sympathetic to Clinton, compiled a report headlined, “Media figures call Obama supporters’ behaviour ‘creepy’, compare them to Hare Krishna and Charles Manson followers”.
It was forwarded by Sidney Blumenthal, a top Clinton adviser, to select reporters. The campaign entered a nasty phase last week with the determination of Clinton’s team to revive delegates from the “ghost” primaries of Michigan and Florida, by legal action if necessary. "

We can expect much more of this crap from the Clintons and their sleazy Campaign.
Why doesn't the Media hold these people to account on behalf of the public ?

The headline for this article has no relation whatsoever to the content. Next I expect to see an article on Clinton greeting some supporter's child that blares "Clinton molests baby!" Apparently HuffPost counts on casual viewers glancing at the headlines without actually reading the article. If so, you are strictly preaching to your choir, and making yourselves look ridiculous to everyone else. Reading your blog is starting to have all the appeal of watching a snake eat a live mouse - revolting but somehow fascinating.

Let's see ... Hillary has (1, cried in public; (2, gone ballistic over a mailer; (3, resorted to mockery during speeches; and (4,wailed nonstop like a baby over how she is treated in the press; and let males guide - and take the blame for - her lousily run campaign. And this is the STRONG woman feminists want to trot out there as the first woman President? Come one, you can do better than HRC.

Sen. Clinton is still fighting the old fight, and as many people say, there is a WAR on two fronts and globally, economic problems, and the US is declining in authority. And people like Hillary Clinton has the luxury to play gotcha, unproductive games. This is her major problem, she does not use her stature in the most responsible, positive way. Bad Judgments are her Hallmark.

Andrew Sullivan stated about Obama which is true "the AP does a story on Obama's "patriotism" question and CNN delivers a Clintonian push-poll. I'm actually fine with this. The only way to overcome this kind of politics is to endure and transcend it. If we want to say "goodbye to all that," you need to say hello to it for a while."

Hillary Clinton wants to have a "real election"?

Let's begin with the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth:

Perhaps transparency would be one indicator of a willingness to disclose the truth.

1. Barack Obama has disclosed his tax records.
Where are Hillary Clintons tax records?
Why does she speak of serving the public, but repeatedly ignore simple tenets of transparency that would reveal to the public whether she has profited in any personal manner from special interests while serving in public office?

2. Barack Obama has repeatedly expressed his opposition to NAFTA.
Now that Hillary Clinton is running for public office, her position on NAFTA has changed – the same NAFTA her husband pushed into action that impacted the lives of thousands of Americans who lost their jobs.
Does the public deserve to know the Clintons NAFTA position prior to Hillary’s declaration that she was running for office – so we see “the whole Hillary picture”?
How about the Clinton’s deal that left thousands of workers with a 15% reduction in their pay checks? Was that an example of Clinton’s idea of looking out for the blue collar workers pay?

3. Barack Obama has repeatedly promoted a health care system that is affordable, yet Hillary Clinton persists in misrepresenting Senator Obama’s health care plan, in fact, in a recent rally she actually misrepresented the truth by leading the crowd to believe that all the other democrats “had a plan”…while leaving the impression that Senator Obama did not have one. Yet, if we take a quick trip to: barackobama.com we see that Senator Clinton’s claims are simply not true and that Barack Obama’s health care PLAN does indeed address the inclusion of everyone, with specific concerns Obama has to REDUCE THE COSTS OF PREMIUMS.

4. Currently Mrs. Clinton’s husband, Bill Clinton is being sued in a 17 million dollar fraud law suit where all the Clintons including their child, will be called to give depositions: “including Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton – that allegedly were witnesses to an effort by the Clintons and top Democratic leaders to extract millions of dollars from Paul in illegal donations and then cover it up.”

Does the public have the right to know that such allegations against the Clintons are being raised and what – if any role did the Clintons allow to impact duties they were sworn to uphold over concerns for personal gain in relationship to special interests?
Did the Clintons allow special interests to influence decisions they made, that led to significant profits for the Clintons to the detriment of the lives of hard working Americans? Why are these questions not being pursued?

5. The Wall Street Journal: Ex-President May Get $20 Million Payout, article by John Emshwiller, on Tuesday January 22, 2008 explores questions surrounding foreign and domestic investment deals conducted by the Clintons that took place between 2002 and 2007, a period of time when Mrs. Clinton was already serving in the Senate. The article mentions the Clintons standing to profit in gains that are believed to be over 30 million dollars. And the media doesn’t want to pursue the question over why Hillary Clinton refuses to release her tax returns when she and her husband were conducting business that appears to raise questions over whether her influence in Congress and his influence as past president of the United States was used to net profits for their self-interests to the tune of 20 million dollars, while their domestic deals may raise questions about concerns over whose interests Mrs. Clinton was serving when it came to these deals being made?

Hillary Clinton wants to purport herself as being victimized by the media, while she remains silent concerning unethical and clearly questionable methods in her campaigns attempts to distort Senator Obama's good character, public service, and outstanding record in the Senate that - she should have been present for as she was a member of that very same senate, and while these underhanded tactics are being utilized by the Clinton defamation supporters, it appears that the Clintons wish to deny the public access it needs to scrutinize how she handled her role as Public servant - for the past 35 years, and whether she is capable of upholding the trust of the public and THEIR RIGHT TO THE TRUTH concerning HOW she would conduct herself as a leader of this nation?

Does the public have the right to know how Hillary Clinton managed all personal finances that appear to raise questions regarding her duties as public servant in the senate, her access to influential power, her duty to serve the public's common good, and what the results of her federal income tax reveals about HOW she managed all of that, and whether she used influence to serve her own personal financial gain to the detriment of the public's good?

Questions concerning the Clinton's finances goes directly to the heart of whether she is capable of managing and upholding the public's trust. Therefore, carefuly scrutiny deserves to be applied to her in a way that specifically looks at her 35 years that she references as serving the public.
Why are questions concerning questionable practices by the Clintons NOT being raised by the media? And Clinton wants to purport that there is a negative bias against her, while the hateful images and disgraceful commentary being spun by her surrogates is purported to be demonstrative of her desire to "serve the public"? If that is Clinton's idea of "public service" no wonder so many are choosing CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!

Politics as usual in the US.

Who cares about the real problems.

Lets just make up some more wedge issues.

The next President will be presented with

2 unresolved shooting wars.

The war on Terror, whatever that really means.

A fragile [to say the least] economy, and the resulting two America's.

A shattered International image of the US.

Good luck, I hope one of them has a real plan and the people who can make it work.

Get back to me in Nov 09.

I love how I hear Clinton supporters chomping at the bit to watch their candidate try to take on Obama in the debate.

You make me sick because you are obviously part of the problem that is dividing America.

Like the last debate Hillary will probably not attack Obama face to face much because she does not have the guts. When she tried to attack him twice in the last debate on his so-called "cult following" and "plagiarism" Obama blew her out of the water. First by showing her attack on Obama's "cult" as an attack on most Democrats and every major paper in Texas. Her pre-planned plagiarism line was the only moment either candidate was booed. The best part is all these negative attacks sinks her in the polls.
