Not all endorsements are welcome on the presidential campaign. Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama sought to distance himself on Monday from praise showered on him by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

"Senator Obama has been clear in his objections to Minister Farrakhan's past pronouncements and has not solicited the minister's support," Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.

Mr. Farrkahn and his followers are racist, mysognst, and anti-government. Over the years, he has denied the holocaust, called for the elimination of Israel, espoused his opinion that a Jewish conspiracy actually controls the press, military, CIA, FBI, and all facets of American government. Mr. Farrkahn is an extremist, and as such is not welcome in either the Republican or Democratic party. Senator Obama succintly and politely distanced himself from Mr. Farrakahn's overture of support. It is meaningful to note that as a Christian and of mixed racial heritage, Senator Obama would be banned from entering any of the Temples operated by Mr. Farrakahn - this speaks volumes to the kind of message and democracy this individual and his followers adhere to in their daily lives.

Actually, Arianna is not directly to blame for this fucked up site. Her IT person is a high school graduate. The site goes quirky at least once a day.
Because of one-of-a-kind programming retardation, no one can follow a thread of comments since they are not numbered. So if you comment and spur a dialogue, good luck to your ass in trying to pick up the thread.
Now that the HuffPo has become profitable, its time to hire a grown-up IT site manager and clean up this Old School Technology. Harrumph!

Without more specific comment, if you can equate Farrakahn with David Duke, you cannot have now or ever a sense of history. They both may be radioactive but the targets are hatred versus exploitation. I'm not a partisan of either but if McCain's torture guys forced me to chose....
