One day after Hillary Clinton appeared on Ellen via satellite, Senator Obama did the same. Last fall he danced his way out, and he thanked Ellen for the boost in the polls he says it got him. He then busted a move once again.

sure is showing his Kansas roots there. dances kind of like a white gay boy. maybe that is why we are flocking to him in droves (lol)!!!! hey, he is having a little fun. chill out people. Pandering? Oh, like Hillary isn't pandering by going on SNL (after referencing it in the debate!!!!), The Daily Show and Comedy Centeral? and would you call her tirade at Obama over the mail pieces in Ohio, her lunatic over the top mocking of him in Rhode Island, or her so-called "crying games" to be presidential? give me a break. rather, just bust a move for us. show us what you can do!

Holy shit, people. Lighten up. Arguments like this always remind me that most liberals are just as retarded as most conservatives.

Obama's "bust a move" on Ellen is Bill's "saxaphone" on Arsenio.

See...he's just like the Clintons.

the equivalent for Obama would if went on Sabado
Gigante and played trumpet in a Mariachi band.

seeing a black man dance to james brown is hardly a stretch.

seeing Obama 'bust a move' is the equivalent of seeing Bill Clinton go on
Hee Haw a doing a ho-down ( no pun intended ).

Do you really want to see some presidential candidate on a airhead talk show? I have never watched Ellen and the only topic I remember was when she was crying on her show because of some pet adoption.

What are you going to discuss that you can't discuss in the debate? Oh that is right, it really isn't a debate but promises to low income voters on what you can give the poor by robbing the middle and upper classes. The poor people are dumb, they are already have free medical care, in the end, the poor will get it up the @ss like the rest of us. Fear a man bringing GIFTS to your sorry arse poor @ss!

I don't agree with Hillary a lot, but Barack does have some issues. He doesn't want any pictures of his past, he don't want anyone to use his middle name. He is too politically correct and the media is afraid to challenge him because they are too PC!

As a professinal dancer I can tell you that Barack has rhythm and he knows how to cut a rug. Why is this important? Being comfortable in your own skin and having rhythm is one sign of sound emotional and mental well being. If you're awkward in your body, it's usually a sign of some kind of neurosis. i.e. Karl Rove and George Bush don't have rhythm and look ridiculous when they dance, cause they can't dance! Barack is the most un-neurotic politico I have ever witnessed. The ancient Greeks were very well aware of the body/mind connection, which is why they stressed gymnastics as being equally important as educating the mind. 'If I can't dance, I don't want your revolution' Emma Goldman

If you call that dancing, I don't believe for one minute you are a professional dancer.

He is so awkward, never moves his feet, he looks like a twelve year old child trying to dance. Next to the biggest geek, fool in the world, Ms. Degenerate, you think he looks good in comparison?

This is his second time 'dancing" on Ellen. How terribly embarrassing for a person who claims to have the skills to be President. Pandering to a no talent TV hack. Looks like having just Ophrah in his pocket isn't good enough. Maybe Jerry Springer next?

I will cover my eyes if he ever dances again.

you don't know what you're talking about. for us black dudes he's doing the dance we do when we are just being 'cool'. it's tate little dance we do when you want to appear to be nonchalant and not to excited about dancing or before adjusting to the mood and energe of you dance partner. my 'cool' dance involves a little bit more head and shoulder movements.

the last thing obama needs is to have film footage of him going all out, which i'm sure he can.( like most brothas who have lived in nyc or chicago.

Hey, I'm no fan of Ellen DeGeneres!

Yes, I am a pro dancer and Barack does have rhythm....of course he's going to dance in place, if he really let go people would be critisizing him for that. Looks like you're still dealing with Puritainical guilt and shame about the a body. Ever try therapy?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:33 PM on 03/01/2008

Don't autistic children have rhythm too? Maybe he should have just snapped his fingers to show he has rhythm. How lame. Even the idiot Tucker Carlson had the balls to go on 'Dancing with the Stars'. So did Jerry Springer. So, we're not impressed by his slight body movements in time with a heavy loud beat.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:43 PM on 03/01/2008

please don't steal my line. Obama supporters spew more hate and Monica Lewinsky stories than any right wing loon ever could. Even the Huffington Post writer Rachel Sklar says you are the angriest group ever to come to Huffpo. You can read her exact words on her blog about the SNL story. I'm continually amazed at the level of hate that comes from Obama supporters toward Clinton supporters. I find it amusing that you all think you can call us and the candidate we choose horrible names and than think we will cross over and support this man in the general. I was happy with all the choices at first, but than the campaign of hate, what I call the Obama campaign, really got going, and there is no way I will vote for him in the general. I have heard many other democrats say the same thing, here on Huffpo, at work, and in my circle of friends and family. So yes he may be the nominee, but he can't win without all democrats. I guess you guys should have thought of that before you burned all those bridges.

I am voting for Obama so no one takes this the wrong way, but he can't show too much moves as to remind all the white folk he's black. I mean if he busts it up, that might not be too good for him. A delicate balance, can't be seen dancing like Bush yet not too hip.

you are exactly right...

if Obama went out there and did the 'Soulja Boy' the media would be labeling him 'too black'. he threaded the needle on this one.

you're right, we white people are so stupid that we can't see that he is black, and so racist if he dances well, we just won't vote for him. It's people like you who drive normal voters away from this man in droves. What a racist!

it's to funny, on the post about SNL and HIllary, all the Obama supporters were saying how lame it was to go on the show, how desperate, how she was riding Obama's coat tails to come after him. I thought the whole thread was petty and mean spirited. I couldn't believe that this is what Obama supporters care about, and now look, they all think he was wonderful for going on Ellen. It's LOL funny, and still petty. One woman here is actually voting for him because he is a good dancer. Seriously, we are in deep trouble. This country elected George Bush twice, I guess we are making another "informed" decision on who are next president is.

I can't believe the post about hoping Obama gets cancer before winning the election. What's up people? The primaries aren't even over!!!! By the way, speaking for someone who lost family members to cancer, I find it offensive that anyone would wish such a thing on another person. Get it together! Big deal, Obama dances. So what? If he dances his way into the White House and ends the Iraq War, saves the lives of American soldiers and charts a new foreign policy that builds bridges of diplomacy to the Middle East rather than blowing up bridges and killing thousands there because this country went to war based on false intelligence, then as far as I'm concerned, he can dance as much as he wants to. Bush has poured 6 trillion of our taxpayer dollars into this undeclared war, so I suggest you direct your anger and vitriol at the source of this nation's problems -- from the Iraq War, to the destruction of our currency, to the subprime crisis, to our current credit crisis, to our loss of civil liberties and our low standing as a nation on an international scale.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:00 PM on 02/29/2008

Dajay,
I would suggest you go meet some obama supporters in the flesh not on message boards. For all you know they are republican trolls now doing the dirty work of trying to divide good democrats from one another. Every democrat I know is truely torn between Obama and Clinton. We respect both candidates. These over-the-top clinton bashingn statements I've been reading on some of the message boards (and same goes for the anti-obama stuff) appear specially designed to inflame only.

Hopefully... for the country's sake.. cooler heads will prevail when this Primary process is over. Whoever wins the primary on the democratic side will get my vote ..ald I'll be happy to cast it and campaign for the candidate. I'm supporting Obama now.. but believe me.. I'll also enthhusiastically support Hillary too..over whoever the republicans put up.. we don't need four more years of the crap we've been living through the last 8 years.

hellothere: Thank for you your polite response. I think there are probably Republicans here bashing Hillary, but I also think it is a lot of Mr. Obama's supporters.

I am a life long Democrat, my whole family is, and we have always liked BIll Clinton. We support Hillary, but we have neve been torn between Obama and her. For us there were many factors. First, Hillary's experience and tough nature and her intelligence. Second, Obama's lack of experience and lack of sincerity. I just don't find this man credible or believable.

The best way I can measure it up is it is to eerily familiar to the George W. Bush adoration and free pass that occurred with him in the 2000 election. Al Gore was ripped apart for not being likable, for looking too stiff, very knowledgeable on the issues, but not cool enough like GW.

I find Obama another GWB, with democratic positions, but no experience and no substance. I will not vote Republican, but I won't vote for a candidate that I don't see fit to be President.

Also, I think Hillary received horrible treatment not only from the unfair media coverage, but from people in her Democratic party.

I still think we will have another 4 years of a Republican presidency, because of all of this.

"but no experience and no substance."

you didn't get the memo.... no one is using this phrase anymore.

obama resume is almost exactly the same as abe lincoln

and as we've seen by his performances in the latest debate obama is quite substantive indeed. at least he knows how to run a campaign, unlike his rivals.

I agree with you completely dajay, and appreciate your post. I don't buy the argument that it's republicans coming here and trashing Hillary. I've been coming here for three years, and this hate fest started after Iowa. There have been literally thousands and thousands of insulting, vulgar and just mean posts about Hillary here from Obama supporters. My dad is a staunch union man, and my whole family was brought up in the DFL. I have spent many hours working the phone lines before elections. We talk about it, and we have never seen democrats attack like the Obama supporters have. Sure they debate issues, and disagree, but to have the attacks that I have seen here take place is just not normal. It makes it impossible for me, and I'm sure many other democrats to support this man. It's not what democrats do.
