As Hillary Clinton battles to keep her presidential bid alive, she may be getting help from an unlikely source: conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh has been actively urging his Texas listeners to cross over and vote for Clinton in that state's open primary Tuesday, arguing it helps the Republicans if the Democratic race remains unsettled for weeks to come.

Mission accomplished. Six more weeks of the soap opera that is the Clintons...at least.

Check it out you conservatives.
Rush wants you to vote for a murderer. (see Rush's statements on Vince Foster)
As a good conservative; could you bring yourself to do that?
You know. Vote for a murderer?

Not to worry. Rush has not had a sensible statement for years. Remember, this is the moral arbiter (just ask him), you know the one who had a girl friend in US, the CNN newsie, but he goes off to the Carib with Viagra in his luggage and the lady who is the target of his affection is left behind. Even then, the Viagra had a phony name on it. Rush is simply a blow hard with no sense of decency. Now you can bet,he will crow that increasing the Obama vote was his secret agenda all along, and "look how successful I was, don't you see" will be the next words out of his mouth. The guy is not only totally morally bankrupt, he is a liar, a goof, and a racist besides. Just ignore Rush It drives him nuts so obviously it is the best thing to do. He is totally undependable and rearranges the facts if his officious blab does not come to be a reality. Poor, poor old Rush. He is losing his mojo..

Funny how the KooKoo Kos can play this game and it is a hoot but when the right wing plays it, it's not legit.

Friends, let me clue you in on something. The right wing has played this game for years in Texas. It's a state sport to cross over in the primary and vote for the other guy's biggest 8-ball.

Rush wants Hillary to be the next president. It's major money in the bank for him -- turbocharging the whole Rush hate machine like nothing else can. If anybody thinks he gives a rip about the U.S, our future, our value system etc., get a clue --- it's about his $$$ and nothing else. I'm certain he will vote for her in November if she's on the ballot.

Remember, Rush suggested we all vote for Hillary, with the belief that, if he recommends Hillary, that means he wants to see Obama win, but just to spite him, I voted for Hillary. That'll fix him!

Damned Rush, on drugs again? Nobody cares what you think you think, except, of course, your related inbreds.

The republicans know that they have one chance in hell of getting the white house in November and that chance is named Hillary Clinton. Today on all the right wing shows republicans were calling in with pride to say that they had gone to the polls to vote for Hillary in response to Limbaugh and other RW talk radio w/nuts call for them to "let Hillary bloody Obama".

If Hillary were the nominee there goes the youth vote, the men and independents. There goes the chance to win a Red state and help congressmen in red districts. The rebublicans would come out in mass. As one person put it, nothing can unite the republican party like Hillary.

If she gets the nomination we lose. It's that simple.

This has nothing to do with Limbaugh endorsing Hillary. He simply perceives her as more beatable and thus beneficial to his Republican masters.

This is precisely why only registered Dems dhould be able to vote in the primary. The thought of some Repubs going in to vote (for either candidate) makes me sick.
Why they have let this go on, I have no idea.

Actually this was true for many of McCain's first wins as well. Republicans didn't vote for him, but independents and cross over democrats voted for him.

It's called democracy. You may have heard of it. It is usually found in the midwest. If I want to vote for Hillary as a republican I will and no extremist will prevent me or make me do it. And, it has nothing to do with any kind of Limbaugh comment. He is a legend in his own mind.

Bush and the rest of the right wing filth are looking more and more like they have made a deal with the devil.

If you want hatred & venom, I'd suggest going to church with Obama.

The difference politically is the excuse that John McCain is using in defense of accepting John Hagee"s endorsement, who I view based on his rhetoric against Catholics like myself, gays and his creepy support for Israel, which is clearly anti-Semitic. Hagee"s views Jews as failed Christians, who must accept Jesus as their savior to join in the rapture or die. Catholics changed their position on this anti-Semitic nonsense with Vatican 2. I find it frankly curious conservative Catholics like the Republican leaning Catholic League have gotten cozy with fundamentalist Christian leaders over the abortion and gay marriage issue for several years now, since Christians fundamentalist have their roots in the Puritans and Calvinism who considered Roman Catholics as papist or pagans.

McCain"s position for not separating himself from Bill Cunningham, yet not John Hagee is that Hagee did not reveal his lunatic views at a McCain event as Cunningham did. McCain"s campaign advance people as well as the Ohio Republican Party knew exactly what they were getting with Cunningham. McCain has meet with Cunningham a least twice before and has attended Hagee events along with his side kick Joe Liberman pandering for money as recent as last fall. McCain as well as the GOP need the fringe religious base that now makes up a significant portion of the Republican base thanks to the Southern Strategy and Karol Rove. Obama dose not need Louis Farrakhan"s endorsement or his fringe followers to win election.

If McCain or any wing-nut talker wants to attack Obama on religious grounds than McCain is going to need to explain to 60 million Catholics as well other reality based Americans, his cozy relationship with a nut like John Hagee who runs a mega-church in St. Antonio Texas with roughly 250 thousand members. Hagee has politically driven TV and radio outlets, which reaches the fringe that McCain needs. I call that a problem.

PS, centrist dose not mean Lib, I like to view myself as a reality based.

I'm gonna try a reply, in spite of Huffpo's problems. If it gets erased, I'll repost it as an original post.

1. The Farrakhan "fringe" is an interesting comment. About a decade ago, much of the same emotional hysteria was said about Farrakhan that is now being said about Obama. It's amazing to me how the Dems treat Blacks as obviously Farrakhan has now been jettisoned when a few years ago he was "heroed" by the same people.

2. I'm assuming that you meant "McCain's position for separating himself from Bill Cunningham" as opposed to "not separating himself," & I completely agree with you appraisal of that situation. McCain knew exactly what he was getting when Cunningham was solicited. McCain, amazingly, was not present during Cunningham's remarks, and then profusely "apologized" following his appearance for Cuuningham's comments. My opinion is that this whole fictitious episode was totally orchestrated by the McCain campaign without Cunningham's knowledge; McCain was going to do this "apology ruse" regardless of what Cunningham had said. As Rush frequently states, it's amazing that conservative talk show hosts & their listeners are supposed to "embrace" McCain when one considers how McCain (mis)treated Cunningham.

I'm a republican and I think you are right. Cunningham squealed about being tossed under the bus but McCain has been putting up with the ultraright neocon crap for a long time and seems to have a bit of a temper. I think he got a belly full of the neocon talk show gurus and decided to use one of them as an example. Cunningham ended looking like the buffoon he is.

Democrats need to understand that moderate to liberal republicans are as disgusted by some of the Bush policies as anyone else. Than having been said, McCain may not be the best there ever was but he is the best on the table now. The idea of having a commander in chief who has never worn the uniform or been responsible for troops [like a governor] should be scary. Hillary for some unknown reason seems to think the idea of another 8 years of seeing Bill on TV is attractive to the middle of the road voter. She is a good candidate but has too much baggage. Without Bill she would be a slam dunk. Paradoxical since without Bill she would have never been a senator.

shaggles

"or the Republican party is encourging voter fraud."

This coming from a Dem? WOW!

Home to "super delegates;" as Rush frequently states, "Dem leaders never trust the voters, even their own."

By the way, great job in MI & FL, two of the top-ten most populous states.

Oh yeah. Only dems commit voter fraud. That's right up there with 'the media has a liberal bias' in truths that can't be questioned. Actually there is no evidence of wide spread voter fraud on either side and I never claimed there was. However depending on the voting laws in Texas (of which I claim ignorance) encouraging people to vote in primary and to participate in the caucus as the Republicans apparently did in Texas (based on the email posted by moevaughn) may constitute encouraging voter fraud.

And why would I or anyone to the left of Rick Santorum give a rats ass what Rush Limbaugh says about Democrats?

Limbaugh is such a piece of crap. Just a couple of weeks ago he was ranting and raving against McCain and now he wants to help him by keeping Hillary in the race. I don't think it will work. Hillary should be gone after today.

I think the real deal is they are deathly afraid of Obama.

Limbaugh is a comedian. Though frequently unfunny, he has an act, and knows exactly what he is doing and saying. His followers, however - his "dittoheads" - are closet fascists with more ideology than intelligence, which makes them distinctly dangerous to a democratic system.

Goldwater once said that extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. Those who would try to silence extremists are the real danger to a democracy. Those who see "political correctness" as something requiring codification and police action [a la taliban] are the real liberal facists.

Rush may be sincere this time after hearing 'Bush Speak' from Hillary,

Hillary, "We have given them the gift of freedom, the greatest gift you can give someone. Now it is really up to them to determine whether they will take that gift."

For anyone to still argue that Hillary is not Bush Lite please go back to school for remedial reading. Death is Freedom is a Bushism.
