David Weigel makes a fairly persuasive case that -- contrary to my instincts about tactical voting -- Rush Limbaugh's calls on Republicans to vote for Hillary had a real impact.

Go and check the exit polls. In Wisconsin, Republicans made up 9 percent of the Democratic primary vote. Obama won them 72-28 over Clinton. Just as tellingly, 14 percent of primary voters said they were "conservative," and Obama won them 59-40, a bigger margin than he won with liberals or moderates. Tactical voters who said Obama stood a better chance of winning in November? They went for him 87-13.

Now that one pissed me off royal!! How can a bitch on a damn "comedy show" come out and do a f*#Kin loud and repeated ad for the "new black" Bitch? I mean a huge "I SUPPORT HILLARY" and "Bitch is the new black" Racist even crap! And it was played over and over. Then Jon Stewert had the sleaze box on the night before the elections. Might as well telegraph "I love Hillary"! The content mattered little it was the F*#king timing. Now we have Bill kissing the ass of the biggest hyprocrite on radio/tv media because he did so much to support Hillary? He did it to support the republicans as they have a whole machine all set and ready with attacks on the clintons! I have republican family members that are high up in the tree of the repubs unfortunately and they know more about the attacks at the ready but don't share due to the need for no one to know until after she is selected. She says they have been doing a lot of manipulation of the dem race so that they hope the outcome will be her being selected. Not elected, but selected. * Norman Hsu and his bundling of money for her campaign?

* How "dishwashers, waiters and others" poured "$1,000 and $2,000 contributions into Clinton's campaign treasury?"

* Bill's trip to Kazakhstan with Canadian magnate, Frank Giustra, that netted Giustra $3 billion and Bill's foundation a $131 million contribution from Giustra?

* How powerful foreign donors to Bill's presidential library, such as the Saudis, may pose a serious conflict of interest to Hillary's foreign policy actions as president?

* How Bill's tangled ties to an investment concern of Clinton friend, Ron Burkle, and it's dealings with Dubai may yet, again, threaten to compromise Hillary Clinton's execution of foreign policy as president?

* The fact that the with all of these questionable financial dealings, the Clintons have been unwilling to release their tax returns, especially in light of Hillary Clinton claiming that the $5 million she lent the campaign was "her own money?"

* And, finally, though we, as Democrats, don't care who Bill schtupps (and, no, none of us believe he has kept his fly zipped the last seven years), you can be damn sure the Republicans will be digging hard (no pun intended) to see just what Bill has been up to since leaving offic

One doesn't get in bed with snakes and scorpions and not expect to get bitten. If he decides to do it, then I would really have to question his judgement and his credibility. You just can't bargain your integrity away just to please your opponent or even your own ambition, you have to stand for you believe to be right, or go down in disgrace and infamy because of your lack of committment to what is right. There are to many integrity free people, to many people who are willing to be succumb by greed and avaritia in order to secure positions of power and influence and Obama doesn't need to add his name to that number. Obama needs to stand on his own two feet and let Hillary do the same and the one left standing after this contest is over , should go forward unemcumbered by their opponents baggage.

Rush IS irrelevant. And it's just pure silliness to think that he influenced anyone in TX to vote for Clinton and not Obama. The Obama camp just can't deal with the fact that some people actually prefer Clinton, so in their minds there had to be some sort of conspiracy. Limbaugh Republicans would gnaw off their own legs before they'd vote for ANY Democrat, ever. Believe me, I know some of them. And they think this theory about Limbaugh getting people to vote for Clinton is about the stupidest thing they've ever heard. THEY think it's proof that Democrats are too stupid to be elected to public office because they actually believe this crap.
