RENO, Nev. — "Girls Gone Wild" mogul Joe Francis has lost his bid to be released from a Nevada jail without fear of being extradited to Florida.

The 34-year-old video empire founder is facing trial in Nevada for tax evasion. He's wanted in Florida on charges related to filming underage girls on spring break. Francis has been jailed for nearly a year while caught in a tug-of-war between the two states.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Brian Sandoval denied arguments by Francis' lawyers that would have freed Francis, but kept Florida prosecutors from jailing him.

Francis has made millions selling videos of often inebriated women exposing themselves.

This guy totally got hosed and I believe those "Girls that went Wild" and then brought suit against him were opportunists and a bit drunk the night they had no objection to GGW taking their pics then the next day when they realized what they had done...seemingly changed their minds. This is wrong. Then it opened up other investigations.....Any one see Wesley Snipes lately/

Its sad, cuz, if you read into the details of the case, it does seem like he's being treated unfairly. That being said - this guy is a scumbag and he shouldn't be surprised that public support is non-existent. I'm sure he'll continue to get treated shabbily by our judicial system.

I too have read the Times story and this couldn't have happened to a nicer fella. Self hating, nosejob getting, sumbitch of a person. Fuck him and again and again and again. yeah the young girls are stupid and insecure but they don't exactly have the perfect role models. Paris, Lindsey, Nicole, Britney, etc. And yes I know they shouldn't be looking up to them in the first place but in fact majority of them do. And this is what you get when you have these young, impressional girls who can't get enough of E channel, people mag, Us weekly, perezhilton and on and on and on.

Being a man I simply don't understand why women think the only way to a man's heart is w/ using their sexuality to get that said man. It's sad that so many of them think that's the only way to winning a dude.

I don't think that when young women do these things (show their boobs) that they are trying to win a man, I just think they are drunk and having fun, and this Joe predator takes advantage of them and deserves to be getting it from Big Bob in prison. He is one of the lowest forms of sleeze, taking advantage of the moment by taping girls in ways that may come back to haunt them when they have had a little too much to drink. Shameful and disgusting!

After reading the LA Times article, the jail where he sits sounds like the perfect place for him...until the next State that puts him in jail too.

Getting young women drunk to get them to sign releases and then "act" in his movies for nada $$ certainly doesn't sound like a gentleman, or even a half-nice guy. In this case, Karma is doing what the justice dept was lax in taking care of...seems so fitting,

This is a problem with the parents and the communities this guy happened. Sure, he should have probably checked ID's and verified ages for his wild videos; so he should accept responsibility for his part in the matter. These girls knew what they were doing, drunk or not.

Although I have never seen a GGW video, but I did read a fascinating and revealing article about Joe Francis written by Claire Hoffman of the Los Angeles Times. It is titled Joe Francis: 'Baby, give me a kiss'. She shadowed him for several weeks and then wrote about her experience. Unfortunately, you will gave to google it because I've posted the link twice already and it's been removed both times.

Bullshit. These young women acted stupid and they're victims? Try taking responsibility for your own actions. If you want women to be treated as equals, then stop pretending that women shouldn't be responsible for their own decisions, drunk or otherwise. You drink and drive, you pay the price. Same goes for drinking and then doing soft core porn. They chose to flash their breasts or whatever the hell they do on those videos. I'm sick of the "women are victims" routine. No one forced them to go to the Girls Gone Wild bus and take their clothes off for money. The only victims are the idiots who pay God knows how much money for that crap.

If I go to a bad neighborhood and I get mugged are you going to say don't arrest the guy who mugged him. He deserved it for going to that neighborhood. No, one is stupid the other is a crime.
