Gawker Boss Denton Fascinated By Sex Life Of Former Editor

I am not sure exactly what the significance of Nick Denton's latest epic blog post about former editor Emily Gould is except to prove that he's maybe sorta a little invested in her private life (insofar that that's not an oxymoron). From what I can glean, Emily was dating one person and now she is dating another, and they both work in media, and she used to date somebody else who worked in media, and Nick spoke to someone willing to trash-talk Gould anonymously because that's a really brave and cool thing to do. Either way, Emily continues to inspire interest over at Gawker, and the commenters continue to defend Gould/debate the merits of the post/try to out-snark each other, thus providing the page views that Denton so loves, so all's well that end's well, presumably — especially since this post reads about as straightforwardly as that NYT piece on exactly what John McCain's relationship with Vicki Iseman was.

In any case, if you wish to read it, it's here.

This is a very important story among the six people that care.
