Obama aide Samantha Power, who was quoted as referring to Senator Clinton as, "a monster," has quit the campaign. Although the comment was made off-the-record, Clinton supporters demanded Power's resignation. Said Rep. Nita Lowey, "It's really a test for Obama, a test of character."

In a statement released today, the Pulitzer-Prize winning Power apologized, calling her remarks, "inexcusable." But did she mean it? 23/6's red pen uncovers the real meaning behind her words, which appeared today in Talking Points Memo.
