Glamour has dumped sex and dating blogger, Mike Cherico, who wrote their Man Needs Date blog.

From Glamour.com:

A word from Glamour:

We've read your comments, every single one. Our ultimate goal here is to open a productive conversation about men, sex, love and dating; clearly, that can't happen when the majority of readers would like to pulverize the blogger. And so, we've decided it's time to move on; as of today, Mike is no longer blogging for us. For anyone wondering, we have deleted comments that contain profanities, since they violate Glamour's user agreement.

From Page Six:

Glamour magazine has fired Mike Cherico, the cad it hired last year to write a dating blog, after several women came forward to complain about his boorish behavior.

The worst case involved a woman Cherico dated whom he dubbed "Miss Smarty Shoes" on his blog. Having been invited by her to a Foo Fighters concert, he saw a cut on her lip, which he concluded was herpes. Cherico wrote that he then turned his attention to "the most amazing woman" sitting nearby at the concert and tried to hook up with her.

Miss Smarty Shoes responded on her MySpace page: "It's possible [Cherico] is in fact a compulsive or pathological liar . . . the 'amazing woman' Mike was apparently holding hands with at the concert that I took him to (and paid for) was a skanky, fake-boobed bimbo wearing a slutty outfit and Uggs from 2004 who looked like she'd just come off of 'Rock of Love 2.' If someone in this story has herpes, it was that girl. I now realize, that while holding hands with this tramp, he was also stroking my hair, kissing the top of my head, etc.

"The brilliant thing about Mike's worrying about my having a disease is that the first night we met, we had unprotected sex. It's literally the only time I have not used a condom with someone who wasn't a boyfriend.

From Gawker:

It's not like there haven't been warning signs throughout Mike's long, tumultuous journey through the blogosphere. "Anonymous Lobbyist" already posted her Don't Date This Man" tale on Jezebel, and a girl he screwed over (in many ways!) wrote a long, damning account to her own blog, now deleted.

Whoops! But we guess this is web democracy (or mob rule?) in action. In one of his very first posts, Mike wrote, "You know how they say you live and learn? Well, the same be could be said about loving--you love and you learn." We're sure that's what he's doing in the wake of his firing... from a Glamour blog. LOL.

First of all, Ms. Smarty Mouth comes off completely rattled because she has to resort to grade school behavior in calling another woman - a complete stranger - a tramp. Wow, a jealous passionate rant against a so-called skank. So if you are jealous of a skank... what does that make you?

The problem was the guy. Apparently you have to have a grain of intelligence to grasp that fact. Instead of holding him accountable, she goes into cat fight rhetoric and renders herself Ms. Below Average Intelligence who will once again pick another guy like this and then rant about a new "tramp."

Thank goodness women like her are interested in these cads so we can get the good guys who actually deserve our passion.

"Uggs from 2004" is reason enough to fire the SOB.
