Barista

The New York Times:

Annamarie Ausnes is known for holding up the line at her favorite Starbucks here, carefully counting out her coins to pay for her "short drip, double-cupped" daily jolt. Over the years, Sandie Andersen, a friendly barista behind the counter, might have rolled her eyes once or twice but she has also taken these morning moments to make conversation, to make friends.

Hmmm whats a person that needs a kidney doing drinking coffee?
Hello!....
Some people in the medical field feel you need BOTH your kidneys and giving one away is a bad idea. Ive read that one kidney takes care of the upper half of the body and the other kidney cleans the blood in the lower half of the body.
Now donating after your dead is another matter.

That's a great story - and a generous barista! It says to me --- Sign your Donor Card! Tell your family you want to donate your organs if you're done with them (massive brain injury, car accident, falling of a cliff, etc.).

This is no joke. I'd be dead today if someone hadn't wanted their organs donated to somebody like me - a gift of LIFE. I got 2 separate organs, too!
