Clinton Sinbad

Politico:

Hillary responded to Sinbad's recollection of their trip together to Bosnia, which Hillary has portrayed as perilous, and at which Sinbad said the most difficult choice was where to get lunch.

"He's a comedian, you know," she said, recalling that she was moved into the cockpit for safety, that the plane made an evasive maneuver, and that there was no greeting ceremony.

Slightly off topic, but Sinbad used to be a KC-135 Boom Operator in the Air Force.

Hillary, ALL visitors to Iraq, went through the same airport landing maneuver you experienced.

Apparently you were SHOCKED that there wasn't a "Greeting Party" at the airport but again

others were denied such Greetings. Was your EGO disturbed by this "lack" of homage?

Sit down and watch the Kathy Griffin, Bravo Show episode, where she and her friends went to Iraq to entertain our soldiers. They experienced a rocket attack.

Not only will you enjoy a few laughs but maybe your "memories" of your trip will be refreshed

and enlightened. It shouldn't take Sinbad to tell us the truth about YOUR trip. What did you

have for lunch?

It was Kosovo...

She didn't refute Sinbad's recollection - so I gotta give this one to Sinbad. He was with Hillary the whole trip and he didn't feel in danger at all. His memory is absolutely nothing like Hillary's and Sinbad doesn't have much of a reason to lie, although he's an admitted Obama supporter (but I don't think he'd lie just because he supports Obama) whereas Clinton does have a reason to over-state her foreign policy duties. I'm going with Sinbad's take on their trip.

"I don't think he'd lie just because he supports Obama"? Are you kidding me? Why would he be any different than any of his other supporters?

This is an example of the maxim about 'two sets of eyes.' Hillary Clinton has normally flown commercial or AF1 into safe airports, so flying into Bosnia in a flak jacket with the plane making an evasive maneuver before landing strikes her as dangerous, especially since her daughter is with her. Sinbad has the same experience, but as a man could never admit feeling under threat whatever he privately may have thought. Men know this is true. It's entirely a matter of perspective how this event gets processed. At any rate, this is all nitpicking and has nothing to do with anything except to play the 'gotcha' game in an election where neverending war and a failing economy are the real issues, which you would never know from these posts.

It will continue to baffle me how people think or sheepishly follow along with the "I have 35 years of experience" bullcrap.

She went from a lawyer, to helping kids, to working on healthcare, to being a 1st lady to being a senator. Nothing she did qualifies her more than Obama. It's all a popularity contest; it's that simple.

I haven’t been this annoyed by a candidate since Ross Perot.

Sinbad has more than 35 years of Family-Friendly entertainment.

Yeah, like she's not?

So, has anyone asked this woman why she took her only daughter into a "war zone" with snipers? Or why she would have agreed to allow them to land the plane under such dangerous conditions with her child there? This is Commander-in-Chief caliber judgement???

Great points there, Interestedinpolitics!

EXACTLY! I mean - if it was "so dangerous" ... why would Chelsea be allowed to go???

yeah....he's a comedian and we are "delusional".....poor woman...

kind of pathetic.

So the response from Hillary when people raise questions or comment on her so called experience is to attack the person that raised the question and get a campaign surrogate in her pocket to back up her claims. This process is getting old.
03:26 PM on 03/17/2008
Calling him a comedian is attacking him? Boy...you Obama supporters are a bit touchy, huh.

It's belittling and dismissing his account. It would be like somebody saying about you, "well he's a blogger..." It implies your opinion is therefore worthless.

Because someone has to say it.

Please take YOUR meds. Is she not dismissing him by saying "He is a comedian, you know?" Is not that dismissal an attack on his veracity? geeeezzzz

HRC is such an obvious liar, a fitting successor to Bush in the Neo-Conservatism ranks.
01:05 PM on 03/17/2008
So now you can't believe Sinbad because he's a comedian, yet Hillary was fine believing Saturday Night Live and repeating that at the debate about how the press was so hard on her and so easy on Obama... Nice try, Hill.

Sorry Mrs. Clinton, ain't buying it..."evasive manuvers" are things military pilots do to give the folks on board the E-ticket ride. Been on way too many C-130s to think otherwise.

I do need to point out that Togo West was not a General as Ben Smith reported but in fact was the Secretary of the Army and Secretary of Veterans Affairs appointed by Bill Clinton, what do expect him to say???
01:02 PM on 03/17/2008
Ah! She was in the cockpit!
Next she'll be claiming she's experienced enough to fly a stealth fighter bomber!

And, having associated with a "comedian" like Sinbad, she'll be cracking jokes too!
