US Vice-President Dick Cheney declared the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq a "successful endeavour" during a visit to Baghdad, on the same day a woman suicide bomber killed 40 people.

"If you look back on those five years it has been a difficult, challenging but nonetheless successful endeavour ... and it has been well worth the effort," Mr Cheney, an architect of the invasion, said after meeting Iraqi leaders.

The public says, the war aint worth it. Cheney says, so what? Then he says to families of 4,000 casualties...oh, by the way, if you disagree, go fuck yourself.

successful endeavor? The destruction of a sovereign nation creating chaos and anarchy, and the largest American Embassy in the World in Baghdad at 102 acres which is heavily fortified, complete walled off sections of the capital, 12 billion dollars spent each month in this debacle of an Occupation, yes this is success in Cheney's eyes, and he still harps on the democracy of Iraq. Reality continually bites him and the President and it is all denial, more of the same indefinitely.

Yea, successful endeavor...you got even richer and fatter in office, Cheney. Too bad we can't trade you for some US hostages or send you in to personally negotiate with Al-Qaida. It would be too much to ask you to do anything else than count your money at your desk and issue deflective criticism when someone asks why you are getting richer and fatter while young men and women are dying.

It's not a complete success yet, Cheney. Your Exxon OIL buddies are still sitting in Kuwait, waiting to invade Basra and start pumping their liquid gold, Texas tea. They are getting impatient, so that's why you and McCain are over in Iraq now, pushing the Iraqis to finally sign that Hydrocarbon Law into reality.

Men like you have no conscience--you cannot see how many lives you've destroyed; nor do you care. All you care about is the "success" of getting more OIL money. I kinda feel sorry for you--from what I heard you used to be a decent human being; until GREED became your god.

You and your puppet Bush, in the past 7 years have done more to destroy the US of A than all the floods, fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, the Great Depression and the US Civil War combined. You have made it virtually impossible for us "common" people to enjoy life as we used to know it. You don't care about us, you don't care about the US Constitution--therefore you both are traitors. But the innocent are still dying while you count your money. So just keep on going the way you are, and you'll see the end of the US, as your PNAC (Project for the New American Century) agenda of the US as the only world government blow up in your faces.

One fine day there will be Justice for those you've wronged; but unitl then---just keep doing it your way...

How "coincidental" the simultaneous visits of Chickenhawk Cheney and Senator John McBush. Chickenhawk was accompanied by his wife and daughter who apparently came along to contribute mightily to the policies of Chickenhawk, our de facto president, who will return to Washington and issue appropriate orders to the Puppet loitering in the Oafel Office and posturing as our de jure president.

Chickenhawk's visit suggests that he may well have been there to see Patraeus and be certain that Patraeus's testimony to Congress, scheduled for the near future, about the status of the Iraqui occupation is correct. Moreover, he can by having made this early assessment to the press rein in John McBush (anxious to become the next Stooge for the Plutocracy) from getting carried away by his "straight talk " when he reports on his own "fact finding" visit to Iraq.

Chickenhawk just simply followed his procedure of running back and forth to the Pentagon for the same purposes of constructing supporting evidence during the runup to the previously planned invasion of Iraq.

Let see....the news media is largely complacent, politically connected military contractors making loads of money, politically connected oil companies selling gas for up to $4/gallon, enough American voters still dumb enough to vote Republican to make next Presidential campaign a toss up, the Democratic Party leadership is still to chicken to do anything meaningful about getting troops out of Iraq (or anything else aside from kissing Bush Administration's ass), American government torturing prisoners, Bill of Rights out right ignored without legal repercussions, political and financial consequences of occupying Iraq won't be felt until after next President takes office.

I'd say just about all of Cheney's goals were accomplished, so I see why he would he would view it as a raging success.

Dickie boy will say it was a hugely successful endeavor when finally: the embassy fortress is built, the permanent bases are completed and the oil contracts with the USA include the terms of his private energy policy cabal.

successful only if he works for Osama. America is low on the estimation of world opinion. About 4,000 Americans have lost their lives, and about 25,000 have been very badly wounded.

In addition we're having a recession, the infrastructure has been falling apart for years, the national debt is owned by the Chinese, the Japanese and others outside of the U.S. Our balance of payments is out of control and much of our manufacturing has made many Americans worried about their future. Our education and health systems aren't exactly what we'd wished for.

Osama couldn't have ruined us so completely by himself, we had Cheney, Bush and the neo-cons to help him.

Hmmm, a successful endeavor for whom or what? His business cronies? The oil and defense industries? But for the USA? It hardly seems that way so far....
