Vice President Dick Cheney spoke to ABC's "Good Morning America" about his recent visit to Iraq:

"I think you cannot be blown off course by the fluctuations in the public opinion polls," he said in a segment of the interview broadcast Wednesday on "Good Morning America."

Cheney added: "Think about what would have happened if Abraham Lincoln had paid attention to polls, if they had had polls during the Civil War. He never would have succceeded if he hadn't had a clear objective, a vision for where he wanted to go, and he was willing to withstand the slings and arrows of the political wars in order to get there."

Yeah, and where did he come up with the baldfaced lie that the anti war polls fluctuate? They have been very consistent if anything at all! Cheney could not tell the truth if his life depended on it!

"for the people, by the people".. yeah sure, right.
Public servant, yeah sure, right.
Embarrassing to go to another country right now. They actually thought we Americans had some sort of input, yeah sure, right!

Hey, Vice President War Deferments, if you ignore Iraq polling results because they don't jive with your self made fantasy world, you'd better not look at your approval numbers either.
Sixty-seven percent questioned in a recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey disapprove of you and your pal's performance.

So...y'all had better keep up with your selective media censorship or those pesky polling numbers just might your rose colored neo-con dream world a little less peachy-keen!

Heck, War Deferments Cheney thumbs his nose at our United States Constitution on a daily basis, so ignoring a mere Gallup poll t'ain't nothin'!

Would a very, very, very patriotic woman, with the constitution of a billy goat, please fellate this 'man' so we can finally impeach his un-American arse!

Cheney: "I Don't Listen To Polling on Iraq"

So Mr. Vice President, is it just polling on Iraq you "don't listen to" or do you ignore other polls as well...like yours or your pal's embarrassing approval ratings, for instance?
I ask because your administration has spent more money on polling than Joan Rivers has on face-lifts, yet the numbers on Iraq somehow aren"t worthy of your consideration?
Ignoring the poll returns of WE, your bosses, on the Iraq Oil War is kinda' like a five year old brat sticking his fingers in his ears, stomping his feet and shouting "no, no, no" hoping he'll eventually get his way!

I'm embarrassed for you...and for those who somehow, still support you.

Cheney is sounding more and more demented and is a scumbag of the first order. The Iraqis are not interested in following the troops home to kill Americans, they just want the troops to go home. There were no Al Qaeda members in Iraq before the U.S. invaded the country. Hopefully the Iraqis will not allow anyone, including us to form a base in Iraq after we leave. WE opened the door to civil war that allows our "subjects" to kill us and each other. We are not at war now. We are an occupying army trying to be a police department, enforcing laws in a nation we don't understand and can't even relate to. We are helping to kill the very people we liberated.Get this pasty faced, aging, white scumbag out of power. I hope those listening to it were thinking "when do we eat" and "god, I have to go the bathroom" and "this speech is making me sick and I think I am going to vomit right here". How can anyone, anywhere believe this a**hole? I hope someone had the decency to fart in his face without him knowing it just so he could get a whiff of his own cologne.

Of course he doesn't listen to the polls about Iraq... because he's got his head up his ass.

He doesn't have his head up his ass, because our Dick is off the table.

Dick Cheney, the fearless chicken hunter, and his fellows are not worth listening to. Their only concern is themselves. How much more of this chicken shit will the American people tolerate? As long as the US citizens have American Idol and assorted "election" idiocy, their tolerance levels may be boundless.

He doesn't listen to us and no one listens to him anymore. So, we're even.

You know, his Lincoln comments made me think that presidential candidates ought to endure a debate based solely on American history. Only someone with a strong grasp of where we've been can have a solid idea of where we're going.

Oh I disagree.
Just ask the nearly 4,000 United States soldiers who've died for Halliburton and the House of Saud...they'll tell you, 'We the People' and Cheney are FAR from even!

Of course Cheney doesn't listen to polling. He has no future in or out of politics, so why should he. I know someone has the minutes from the "meeting" that he held in the opening days of the first term. It's called a meeting by him & his friends in the mainstream media, but I believe it was more on the order of an auction. "Who'll give me $5 a barrel if we get the world price over $60?" Then of course there was the distribution of the secret account numbers for the Swiss Banks.
Sooner or later, just like every scurilous scheme in the past, a low level nobody who was told they would get _____ "fill in the blank" and didn't...will scurry out of the woodwork and tell us what we already know.
The last 7 years have been an unprecedented looting of the federal wealth of "the greatest nation in recorded history" to enrich the undeserving top 2% of a country that started out valuing the individual, and ended up serving a bunch of fictitious entities called corporations as though they were gods on earth. The so-called founding fathers well knew the base characters of those who run an empire, but could never have reckoned with the base depraved group of near-or quasi billionares that stalk the halls of our government. People used to call for miracles to remove ogers or monsters from their lives
by divine intervention, but there is no miracle, there is no divine...If you can show me any evidence that there is...I will sign up immediately.

Cheney's analogy would be correct if there had been no slavery, but Lincoln insisted there was, and that by attacking the South, he was making America free and safe, and then only sent in 100,000 troops to do the work of 500,000, and then during Reconstruction, Lincoln said everything was going great as lynchings and widespread lawlessness covered the land. In that scenario, Lincoln's poll numbers might have mattered like they do now for the Bush and Cheney.

What dimwitted journalist for ABC wasn't able to throw Cheney's logic back in his face with a decent follow-up? The press in this country is a goddamned joke.

No Combatveteran, she won't.
You see in this country's system of government, the Speaker of the House doesn't have the authority to unilaterally charge Dick War Deferments Cheney or anybody with a crime.
In order to charge Dick War Deferments Cheney with the numerous crimes he has committed, we'd need an Attorney General with honor but, as "What"s waterboarding " Mukasey and " I don"t recall" Gonzales have clearly shown, honor is in pretty short supply on 'yer' side of the aisle Cletus-Ray!

I would like to know where the Cheney supporters are in this forum? I guess they are in the other forums bashing Obama and his reverend. Great priorities the dumbed down americans have.
