Cheney Spends Iraq Anniversary Fishing Off Sultan Of Omans' Boat

Vice President Dick Cheney went fishing in the waters between Oman and Iran on Wednesday, borrowing the Sultan of Oman's 60-foot royal yacht for the mission.

A Cheney spokeswoman said the vice president, his wife Lynne, and daughter, Liz, a former State Department official who is traveling with her father as a private citizen, headed out under sunny skies into the Gulf of Oman on "Kingfish I," owned by Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

Looking on the bright side of things, at least someone has learned something from experience - they have kept the gun out of his trigger happy fingers... Here's an idea, perhaps the Sultan can loan his boat to Cheney and the rest of the Bush administration - indulge their right to bear arms (not to confuse with bare arms - that would be unsightly) and let them go shooting for fish. May the best shark win.

I don't care what anyone says, I'm really starting to like this guy. What a great answer when asked about the two thirds of our people who disagree with his policy in Iraq. So? That was his answer. No duplicity. No squirming around like his boss man, Bush. An up front, no holds barred answer that in effect said "I don't care what any of you think, I'm going to do exactly what I want to." Could he make it any clearer? I think in the vernacular it's know as F**k You. I know you're a lady Nancy, but do you understand that language? Do you finally understand who and what you are dealing with? Start impeachment now before these 'people' can plunge us into world war III.

Halliburton is not an American company does not pay it's fair share of AMerican taxes, poisons our soldier with polluted untreated water, over charges, gets no bid contracts worth maybe billions of dollars, keeps the vice president on the payroll so he can keep the contracts comming.
Damn sweet deal for dick & george and a few others. Not so good for The American people.

Obama made a great speech yestereday about the deep, almost genetic anger between races. I've got to wonder if in 20 years someone will be making the same speech about the deep anger between democrats and republicans these tools (I mean Bush/Cheney and Co.) have engendered. The only thing that comes near to rivaling my anger at these elected criminals is my anger at all of us (myself included) for not doing more to stop this from happening.

I know how you feel, it is deep. When Kerry ran I did everything I could to try to accurately inform those who choose ignorant bliss and form their opinions on corporate paid for sound bites on tv. I made my own sign and had it in my yard, my kids got harrassed on the bus. Your mom's for Kerry, ugh??? Everyone where I live in rural TN wanted to be a patriot, on the right side of god. I've always lived in liberal urban areas, so I've never experienced what you did. Maybe it would have been good, though...we get complacent when everyone arounds us thinks like we do. But I lost a lot of respect for this country when he was re-elected (I cut us some slack the first time, even though he seemed like a perfect dufus to me then too). What's bugging me now is we're so busy fighting over which democratic candidate to chose nobody is minding the fort. And these criminals can still do a lot of damage in the time they have left.
