Clinton Camp "Essentially In the Red"

NY Times:

Despite a strong month of fund-raising in February in which she brought in $35 million, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton finished the month essentially in the red, once her campaign's outstanding debts are factored in, as well as her personal loan, according to filings submitted late last night to the Federal Election Commission.

After spending about $31 million in her efforts to keep up with Senator Barack Obama, Mrs. Clinton finished February with more than $33 million in cash on hand, but $21.5 million of that is earmarked exclusively for the general election, leaving her with $11.7 million for the primary.

Miss Entitlement Clinton never thought she would actually have to compete for the nomination. She thought the primaries were just a pre-inaugural tour, kinda like a rock star, going from place to place to wild acclaim. She leased two presidential planes, engaged huge motorcades, took entire floors of hotels and stayed in presidential suites. She just thought she had to raise fun and doughnut money.

Ron Paul's campain set donations records and is still in the black. McCain has been in the red since the very beginning because NO ONE LIKES HIM. Those ratings are completely bogus. Actually all the others have been in the red from the gitgo - - because none of the repugs were giving money to anyone except for Ron Paul. Funny that, eh?

How many millions does she still owe that pollster Penn...and that Wolfsen guy?? There's also the fact that she, in the past at least, was not paying the vendors (the working folk) of her events. I'm still wondering what Sen. Clinton's response on her sniper fire incident will be. Her finances may not ending up mattering depending on how she resolves her recent string of tall tales.

The MSM is studiously avoiding the story. For any other candidate, the tsunami wave of "gotcha" stories in the media would reduce their campaign to a little pile of cinders. Obviously, paper sales and ratings require that the destructive candidacy of the empty pant-suit carries on regardless.

Poor old Gal can't keep it running. Her advisor's have driven the country into the red why not the campaign too.

As I recall after the Mar 4th Texas and Ohio primaries which happened AFTER these reporting dates (end of Feb) Clintno started bringing in around 2 mil per day. So, I doubt the money situation is as bad as this report suggests.

This particular story probably got the $$$ rolling back in again. Remember when it was reported she loaned her campaign 5 mil, the $$$ rolled in for her.

Perhaps its Hillary's strategy to put Republicans back in charge of Congress so they can help her manage the economy, because its sure looking like Hillary can't do it alone.

This could actually potentially be a huge story. She's fighting for her political life, and she has all this money just out of reach for her. She was already busted for mixing and matching campaign money in 2006 - so I don't think it's much of a stretch to think that she might be doing it again.
