l just spoke with a Democratic Party official, who asked for anonymity so as to speak candidly, who said we in the media are all missing the point of this Democratic fight....

"Her securing the nomination is certainly possible - but it will require exercising the 'Tonya Harding option.'" the official said. "Is that really what we Democrats want?"

Sen. Mc Cain the black voters of America would love to here what you have to say as a backup for Obama. If he's not in the race come nov who will blacks Ameicans vote forQ. McCain Or Clinton. I think if Mc Cain work's at it he could pull more Black Votes than BROTHER BILL CLITON will be able to.We Black folks don't want to see Rev Jackson or Rev Sharpton speak on behalf of the Clintons WHEN THEY SHOULD BE UP FRONT THEMSLEVES. And the Black Churches should remeber REV WRIGHT COME NOV.

Oh so an unnamed source!
To speak candidly please don't reveal my name, since I am really an Obama supporter but can't reveal that fact. You know Clinton's is comparable to Tonya Harding, and I am a top ranking democrat. I really hate that Clinton is trying to take down Obama, it is so gutter politics, sort of the same way I am taking down Clinton. Oh wait did I just say that I was also using gutter politics, please don't reveal my name for I would look really bad and not a party uniter! It would look real bad for me!
They would think I am not acting in the best interest of the democratic party according to my own standards!!!

I never thought I would despise a Democrat as much as I despise W. Now when I see Hellary on TV, I change channels right away. I think she trained Rove, not the other way around. Disgusting!

The more I know about Senator Clinton the less respect I have for her. She keeps managing to outdo herself and sink to a newer low each time.

She shows nothing but contempt for the voters, the election process - basically anything that gets in the way of her obtaining what she is after. Lets hope her 'kitchen sink', 'torch and burn', 'take no prisoners' and 'Tonya Harding' policies do not work quite as she plans.

I just remembered something. I'm not really a figure skating fan but, if I remember correctly, Tonya Harding was ejected from the competition, forced to leave the skating world and lived a thoroughly trashy and unhappy life from there on!!! There just might be a lesson somewhere in there for you, Senator Clinton!

There is no low the Clintons won't sink to

Say they "kneecap" Barack and win the nomination. Hillary would have succeeded in pissing off the majority of African Americans, the most loyal consituency the party has, and causing them either not to vote, or to vote for someone else, not just this year, but for some time. The young people, myself included, may end up following suit, as will those on the far left, and independents. Worse, most of these people would not go quietly into the night. Instead, they'd be likely to pummel Hillary and the party at least as hard as the Republicans will. In the end, McCain would take the White House, and Hillary would paitently wait probably eight years to try for the job again, this time without competition. Come on now how does that help America?

Are we supposed to thank The Clintons for dragging Barack down with lies and smears when the party should be helping him fight the filth. Are we supposed to stand by while The Clintons give their support to John McCain? Are we supposed to applaud when The Clintons join the viral rightwing conspiracy against one of our own? Are we supposed to cheer while The Clintons act like flesh eating bacteria that have infected the party? The irony is that Hillary is dragging herself and her husband down as fast or faster than Barack.

The Democratic leadership is completely inept if that they can't see what this is doing not only to their candidates, but to the rank and file as well.

They know it. They were already divided. This just brought it to the fore!

Broken knee caps, bodies strewn in parks, IRS investigations- all in a days work for Ma and Pa Clinton.

"What will she have to do to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, in order to eke out her improbable victory? She will have to "break his back," the official said." Folks making such comments are missing an absolutely crucial point: whatever Clinton can do to break Obama's back, republicans can do it too. If she doesn't do it, then the republicans will, and they are ten times better at it.

This attitude gain reflects the lack of pragmatism and common sense in the democratic.

The crucial point here is that you expect that type of attack from the Republicans, not from a fellow Democrat. When Clinton says that McCain is more qualified to be President than Obama, she not only damages Obama, she damages the party. People who follow and respect Clinton believe what she says. On the other hand, when a Republican attacks a Democrat for not being experienced or qualified, it will have the effect of unifying, not dividing Democratic voters. I would submit that this type of attack does far more damage to the Democratic party than the Republicans can do.

The problem in your argument is that there is a center that constantly switches back and forth between the two parties. Those folks will be receptive to all the criticism about Wright, lack of experience, etc., as they were when Kerry ran.

Btwy, you can chastise Clinton for making the comment about McCain having more experience than Obama. But it is a factually true statement. Period. People shouldn't be punished for making true statements. Of course, it doesn't imply that one should vote for McCain over Obama, and she clearly never hinted that. Instead, the implication was that the relative youth and inexperience of Obama will be a handicap against McCain. People are smart enough to decide for themselves whether they agree with that statement or not. Unfortunately, Obama supporters are more and more painting any legitimate criticism as vicious attacks. They are still confused about the world being a place where singing Kumbaya solves every problem.

I don't believe there is a Republican that can play as dirty a the Clinton Campaign. I'm still waiting for them to let us know that Obama have black children with a black woman.

OMG, I've seen referrences to a "Tonya Harding Option" in the comments on other stories but I thought they were kidding. How can such a thing be seriously discussed? I guess if Hillary really IS a monster.

NEVER underestimate the Clintons.

I never do underestimate the Clintons...that is why the Supers need to step in. They will kill thier own party to make sure she can play again in 2012. They would rather have a Repub win. In sticking with the never underestimate thread - I would expect to see them on McCains ticket just to get back to the WH. They don't care about thier party and they certainly don't care about the voters.

The DNC is just catching on to this? Have they gone the extra step to consider the long term damage to the Democratic Party if she is allowed to pull this "Tonya Harding" option off?

Well I tried to email Howard Dean about it and several people in the media have told them but they seem not to believe it. I wonder what Harry Reid is up to, talking about "it will be done".

The MEDIA is trying - as usual - to CREATE the News, rather than REPORT it.

The Political Pundits and Analysts should be held accountable for their overreaching and oftentimes disastrous PRE-ELECTION Predictions in many of the states.

They have been wrong so many times during this Primary Season that they should STOP trying to influence voter opinions.

Their analysie have proven less than STELLAR to say the least, and are clearly showing an Obama bias to influence the voter outcome.

This should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Yeah, that's the type of honesty and integrity we should have in the WH..oh, wait, we already do. So much for change...it's never about change, it's always going to be status quo because that's the only thing Americans understand....There's a reason schools are underfunded and our healthcare so in-adequate...it's the best way to maintain control of the masses...keep em' dumb and un-healthy and you have an electorate that you can manipulate with lies and fear.
