NAFTA-Gate Probe To Be Made Public

Obama has made it clear in his campaign that he is not, and has not been in favor of ending NAFTA. He is in favor of improving it. He has never contradicted that.

So what is the story?

Hillary is a bald faced liar. Everything coming out of her camp should be scrutinized before believed.

Of course the Clinton camp continues to spread the Nafta-gate lies as if they were true, three weeks after the Canadian Prime Minister said the leaks were blatantly unfair to Obama.

There is no depth to which Hillary will not plumb, and no trick too dirty to perform, if it might advance her to the power she seeks. I have never before witnessed such an overpowering display of unbridled ambition during my lifetime.

On Wednesday, Feb 27, 2008, CTV reported that senior member of Obama"s campaign, Austan Goolsbee, spoke directly with the Canadian Consulate General in Chicago to assure them that if Obama publicly spoke about opting out of NAFTA, they should not take it seriously. It would just be political posturing¦ campaign rhetoric. Obama flatly denied the report, attacking both Senator Clinton and Senator McCain for their comments on the issue.
On March 4, the New York Times, among other sources, revealed that the conversation had indeed taken place, and published the memo. The Canadian government announced that an investigation would begin to find out who was responsible for leaking the memorandum concerning the conversation.

With the details included on the Obama connection, and nothing so specific on the Clinton, it will be interesting to see what the outcome is. As we've all seen in the process, even if it was Obama's camp, we'll smooth it over with a well crafted speech on child labor.

Who cares what the right-wing pro-Bush Canadian government has to say?? They've already proved they can't be trusted on this matter. They want to undermine both Clinton and Obama so Mccain wins in the end and there's no change at all to NAFTA - which Canada makes lots of money off of. We already know Hillary was pro-NAFTA from the very start, despite her claims to the contrary - her white house papers revealed this fully. She was the one who was actually in the white house when that got passed and didn't ask the hard questions when it counted, just like on iraq. Hopefully PA voters won't get duped by Hillary on the Nafta issue like Ohio voters did.

The man, Lynch, is supposed to be investigating leaks by his own chief of staff?
