Obama Nomination

NY Times' The Caucus:

Senator Barack Obama this evening called Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen's proposal of resolving the Democratic nomination contest in June "a good one" - although Mr. Obama seemed to be endorsing a June wrap-up more than the governor's specific plan to let superdelegates caucus to choose either Mr. Obama or Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"I think giving whoever the nominee is two or three months to pivot into the general election would be extremely helpful, instead of having this drag up to the convention," Mr. Obama told reporters as he flew from Greensboro, N.C., to New York City.

I really find Obama eerie? He lies too, I've heard a few... all politicans do. Say what you want to hear until they get where they want to be. Who is really behind the Obama-fad? I find it really scary. Perhaps it is the same administration you're wanting to "change"? It doesnt matter to me black, white, hispanic, asian, or from outerspace. Obama is just another arrogant, self-serving, sociopathic-disaster wanting to destroy this country and it's freedoms. You'd better believe it. Take a good look, dont just idol worship and eat up all the lies, and follow false promises, pay attention, do the research!

What's going on is simple. Obama is discussing with Florida Superdelegates a plan where if enough of them agree to support him to limit the net plus for Clinton to something he can take and still win he will support a seating of the elected delegates according to the primary results.

The race is over. Obama won. Oh, and rules are rules. Everybody agreed to them long, long ago. If you're from FL or MI, blame your state parties and legislatures. They were warned and ignored the warning. Take a little responsibility and quit whining.

he's not calling for a resolution. he's calling for annulling the results by splitting the delegate count and so gainining delegates he didn't rightfully win. if he wants, why doesn't he split the delegates in some of the states that hillary didn't contest on the theory that if she had, she would have won a few more.

That was Hillary's fault she lost uncontested states for saying only big states matter.

Obama isnt to blame for Michigan and Florida.
1.) Those states Democratic parties are responsible for being stripped of delegation by breaking rules.
2.) They both agreed those states did not count and signed paperwork saying that.
3.) Hillary did not fight for their voice until after she won one and the polls said she would win the other.
4.) She won a majority in Florida and Michigan from name recognition. Bill Clintons name on ballots of past helps a lot in a state with no campaign.
5.) Many democrats did not vote in those two states and are being just as disenfranchised, because they thought their states didn't count.
6.) Hillary has fallen further behind in pledged delegates so dont think 2 states will turn the tide.
7.) As it stands now even with the unfair advantage Hillary has in those races that when you add them in she is still behind.
8.) Obama is for a resolution that doesnt change the rules that Hillary herself agreed too. He wants representation for those states that is fair and anyone who thinks that first contest is fair can reread points 1-8 and look up the definition of fair. And if you still think its fair maybe a switch to the republican party is in order.

Is one of his suggestions a Primary revote?

As a Dem Florida voter, I would like my vote counted.

That would be the best solution for the FLORIDA disenfranchised voter.

Where does Oblablabla have the AUDACITY to come up with that CRAP?

Hillary isn't quitting.

Why should she? Who KNOWS what kind of dirt the Republicans are going to dig up about that sleezeball next week.

Its just like Huckabee said. When you're in a horse race, and the lead horse collapses, the second horse is the winner. Hillary shouldn't quit until Oblablabla gets 2025 delegates, and he can only get that by having a RE-VOTE in Florida and Michigan.

And guess what? The little CHEAT is too gutless to do that.

NEVER GIVE UP, Hillary! Don't let the slimy little CHEAT steal the election!!!

There's PLENTY of time. MANY previous nominations have been made at the convention. Besides, it makes the candidates TOUGHER. When the winning candidate goes up against McCain, he's going to be all soft and flabby from eating rubber chicken and talking about Iraq. The Democratic candidate will be tough as nails.

Keep up the fight, Hillary!!! Don't listen to these filthy, slimy, Oblablabla CHEATS!!!

A mini-Primary of superdelegates in June is a good way come up with a nominee apparent in June. This gives all Democrats time to re-unite & organize for November and WIN THE WHITE HOUSE ! Go Dems!

If I were Sen Obama, I would want to wrap up this campaign as quickly as possible too. As voters are investigating his background more thoroughly-questions are mounting about his integrity and qualifications. I was at a loss to explain how Sen Obama could lie so openly to the American public- unless he was certain that the corporate media would not challenge him. Please go to this link to see some excellent work by citizen journalists, independent journalists and others who have taken it upon themselves to investigate Sen Obama's background, legislative work, ethics in office, etc...
Obama represents “Change” in Washington DC? The more I learn about this man, the more certain I am that he should not lead our country. All material on this website is backed up with links to sources of the information. Please pass this link on to others.

Read the well-documented scathing expose: GUARANTEED TO SHAKE UP OBAMA SUPPORTERS.
Barack-I-Didn't-Know-Obama- By MBolack. Also read the “information source documentation” (links) and comments provided by bloggers (inc. myself) to the site listed above. All information presented is well-supported by FACTS…

Does this influence your opinion? Can you add anything to this or refute anything you think is wrong? If not, then there is something seriously wrong going here in our political process.

Dear athy:

Sending HuffPo readers to a rabid and virulent Clinton site for "information guanteed to shake up Obama supporters" is a waste of energy. A five-minute on-line investigation of the site and the blogger, together with a familiarity with the quality (or lack thereof) of some of the "independent journalists" cited, as well as with such propaganda techniques as taking comments out of context and quoting opinion as fact, reveals that your "expose" is nothing but rank propaganda.

So, no, your source does not influence my opinion of anything but your judgment and capacity for analysis and critical thinking.

1dogs2

This is not a rabid and virulent Clinton site.

Why are you so hostile? Did you read the article? Tell me what you find incorrect in the article plus the links referenced in bloogers' responses?

This is what happens sometimes when people are confronted with the truth and they are at a loss for a response. They exhibit anger and immediately start attacking the messinger. Why have you resorted to this? Please engage in intelligent discussion.

Read the articles referenced (in links contained in mbolack's article and bloggers comments). I do not consider
The Columbia Journalism Review, New York Times, The Nation, Businessweek, Chicago Tribune, The Republic and others as irresponsible publications.,

I am sorry 1dogs2 - it wont work. The only way to attack truth is with truth- not name-calling.

This is not news. Obama has always been for revoting in Florida and Michigan, as long as it was don according to "Obama Rules".

In fact, Obama has repeatedly said he'll support whatever agreements the DNC and state legislatures come to. In both cases, the states ruled out a revote. Neither Clinton nor Obama has any power to make decisions in state voting matters.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:13 PM on 03/27/2008

In fact, the DNC rules say that both candidates must agree to any plan put forward. Senator Obama would not agree to any plan that was not according to Obama Rules, thus stopping the re-vote. The state ruled out a revote because he would not agree to ANY plan, period.

http://www.observer.com/2008/clinton-campaign-unimpressed-obamas-speech-economy

“The New York Observer, “Clinton Campaign on Obama's Economic Speech”by Jason Horowitz , 3/27/08

“On Monday, the Obama campaign responded to Hillary unveiling a comprehensive plan to deal with the housing crisis by attacking her for taking contributions connected to subprime lenders. Campaign manager David Plouffe said: "If we're really going to crack down on the practices that caused the credit and housing crises, we're going to need a leader who doesn't owe those industries any favors."
“As it turns out, those were just words... Today, Senator Obama gives an economy speech followed by a fundraiser at - you guessed it - one of the top 10 issuers of subprime loans in America, Credit Suisse. In fact, Senator Obama has taken more money from the top 10 issuers of subprime loans than BOTH Senator Clinton and Senator McCain [cq.com]”. This is part of statement from Clinton campaign policy director Neera Tanden as reprinted in The New York Observer
