Why was Obama canvassing during the recently held Kenyan elections, on behalf of his relation who is a staunch advocate of Islamic ideology and wants to bring sharia law in Kenya!!!!
Does not Obama believe in personal and individuals freedom alongwith womens right!!
It's good to see posts like this on Huff. Most muslims are very peaceful people but the US media tries to paint a bad picture of them in our minds. With the internet...its becoming harder for stations like Fox to keep us from the truth.

Has anyone that has visited here had any doubt you ppl watch and listen and like the enemies presentation network. Well if they did, they don't now.
Did you watch the video interview with Senator Obama's step-grandmother?
It is a very nice interview.
WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?
You can see Al Jazeera on the cable news network LINK. I have it, watch it many times, and found it to be an un-biased news channel.
Unfortunately, most of the American public automatically assumes if it's Al Jazeera, it's all related to jihadists, and that is simply untrue.
I may have made a typo error earlier. Sorry.

Check out the cartoons.
In an ideal world a story reported in Arabic on Al Jazeera about Barack Obama's Muslim grandmother in Kenya would be a encouraging event for everyone. But in an ideal world, there would be no Rush Limbaugh.
How true, LeoMarvin!
Small minded people will fear this. They will fear he is a Muslum. This is the only person qualified, culturally, to deal with the worlds problems.
The better question is WHO - in our country - wants us to hate Muslims?
that 2% majority have their fingers in the Democratic food fight for the nomination.....
Remember - we're all Palestinians now .... America is an occupied nation
If you expect Barack to buy into your anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, you're in for a big disappointment.
Al Jazeera is a far more legitimate news organization than FOX, CNBC, MSN, or CNN.
And...???
What's your point?
For everyone here that is interested to know why Al Jazeera International ("The Island", in Arabic) is not available in the overwhelming majority of the United States you may want to thank Rupert Murdoch and his cronies at AIM (Accuracy In Media) who sent letters out to every CEO of media television and cable outlet to block them There they are, proudly showing off letters from their campaign to inform every U.S. cable and satellite provider about just how harmful and dangerous Al Jazeera English would be if it were broadcast in the U.S.

Two core reasons:
1. Because it would spin on it's ear the green bile of lies and disinformation the Republican administration is bombarding the American people with and
2.because they show American's an entirely different view of atrocities committed by Israel which apparently is the only country on the planet that cannot be criticized otherwise you are given the misleading label "anti-Semetic". (Note: Arabs are true Semites genetically, geographically as well as linguistically so what does this say about how the term has been co-opted?)
The only way to get Al Jazeerah America is to subscribe to them online.
I was able to watch BBC America until this month. It was part of the Standard Tier. I suppose I can get it if I want to pay extra.
A Jaeeradoes not censor the news like CNN, FOX , and MSNBC. Theyactually thoroughly report what is going on in Iraq and other parts of the world. I wish Michael Ware on CNN would quit trying to convince me to support John McCain and report what is actually going n in Iraq. I am grateful for the Al Jazeera youtube channel, it is the only way I find out what isreall goig on in Iraq.

If the US MSM wasn't so busy trying to destroy in him with sound bites of his pastor's sermons, maybe they too could tell us something of his grandmother in Kenya. I have never seen MSM do a story about her. Nice to see a fair and balanced portrayal of her.
She is not his REAL grandmother. She is the wife of his grandfather. His biological grandmother passed away.
It is amusing to me to see how many posters here are terrified of al Jazeera. Actually, it is hilarious.
Oh right, Al Jazeera is just so much more professional than American journalism. Like adding unrelated clauses without any direct sources - "The family has only one dream that their son can achieve what other black Americans have not been able to achieve" - then the relative comes on and says he hope that Obama's victory will bring more prosperity to the community. Who among his family mentioned the plight of Black Americans?
Look, I voted for Obama, but give me a break if you think this is good journalism. I'm glad someone interviewed his step-grandmother, but this is odd journalism indeed - a stifled, superficial bit of reporting. Sometimes I wonder about the readers who always need to be ahead of the pack in imagining that all is so skewed in the US. Remember that the reporters in this country, for the most part, have been educated in American universities, and frankly probably have a better knowledge of American politics and a freer hand to expose the truth. Ok - go ahead- pile on... but you went to the same schools and you knew the same journalism professors.
I see both sides of this. There are some knuckleheads in American journalism and there are some "star" reporters. I am sure the same is true for Al Jazeera.
If you seek to embrace the truth sometimes one's own country is not cast in a great light,. This should not trouble you for a fool and his country are parted by death but the truth endures. American journalist are awesome and some of them suck as well.
Nothing amusing about it actually. For most of us in the U.S., the only time we hear of Al Jazeera is when they have broadcast a beheading or new Bin Laden tape. Because the network is not available here, this is our only context. So although it may be a narrow view of the network, that is what we are working with. More of a kneejerk reaction.

I watch the 5 AL Jazeera channels (live, documentary, Arabic , International et..) And i can assure you they have never ever showed a beheading . YES they have showed Ossama Bin laddin tapes because those who sent the tapes knew the channel is the MOST watched and trusted in the Arab world . but no beheading , some right wing US people Say that but so far they have not backed their comments with real Proof .
I had watched it on Link.TV and loved it. I look forward to the day when Obama is elected President and we have a video of these beautiful people of his family celebrarate with us.
