Jason Bateman Signs On To Direct

Former "Arrested Development" star Jason Bateman is returning to Fox, this time as a director of "The Inn," a comedy pilot described as "Upstairs/Downstairs" set at a hip New York hotel.

"Inn" marks the first pilot directing gig for Bateman, who has directed episodes of comedy series, including the Emmy-winning "Development." According to imdb.com, he became the Directors Guild of America's youngest-ever director when he shot three episodes of "Valerie" (1986) at age 18.

There's supposed to be an Arrested Development movie in the works. It can't come soon enough.

Look let's face it ---sell Arrested Development to another network or HBO or something and get back to saying something relevant. Buster was my hero.
