Bush Throwing

President Bush threw out the ceremonial first pitch tonight at the Washington Nationals season opener and the inaugural game at Washington's National Ballpark. But the President — an avid baseball fan and the former owner of the Texas Rangers — probably didn't get the fan response he was hoping for, as he was largely booed by the 41,000-person sellout crowd as he walked out to throw the pitch.

A; Most of the cheering came from the stadium's sound system.

B; The GOP bought all the available tickets for party members.

C; Baseball fans are more blindly patriotic than political savvy.

D; All the above apply here. Most people hate this war criminal.

He gets to play at baseball, he gets to play at being a fighter pilot, and he gets to play at being a President.

And when he gets to playing a retired has-been, he'll finally have found the role he was destined to play.

I watched all the morning news shows. They only showed him throwing the first pitch. They did not show him being introduced - and thats when he got the loud boooooooooo's You can clearly hear the boos in this video. Clearly the media has always opted - or been under orders from the White House - to portray this lying war criminal favorably. They probably have a lot of splicing to do in their studios.

But more unfortunately is how the office of the President l infers legitimacy on one George Bush, when he should have been impeached.

I recall when our governor got booed at some major race car event. All of us at work laughed when we read it in the paper. Later, George Ryan got sentenced to a extravagant prison. We booed about that too.

You want to clear up the national debt in a heartbeat? Have Bush appear at events that aren't stage-managed by the Neocons. Millions of us would pay--and pay big--to be able to sit comfortably with a cola and popcorn, and BOO Bush for a couple hours.

Cheney said that no one suffers more (not even the families left behind) than GWB when a soldier dies in Iraq. I have been looking at him for over 5 years to get a glimpse of that suffering. Instead, I see him doing the jig, making jokes while looking for WMDs under his desk, speaking of how romantic war must be, participating in every roast possible and so many many more activities that he should be ashamed to attend while he has our troops (they volunteered Cheney reminded us) serving two, three, four, five tours in Irag. Viet Nam at it worst - they served 1 tour unless the soldier requested a second tour.

In management they say a bad manager has 3 years and everything will implode. We are surely seeing that theory being played out.

I expect my president to be in the oval office day and night (how can GWB sleep so well). He shames me to my core.

Excellent point, Islian. I too have watched this man express no suffering whatsoever over the thousands of deaths -- as well as the life-altering injuries -- that his incompetent decision making has caused. He always looks well rested, as though he has never lost any sleep over the pain and suffering that he has caused to so many others.

Ironocally, Bush expresses a delusional notion that he will somehow be compared to Lincoln by historians. What an insult to the memory of Lincoln, considering the fact that no similarities exist between the two wars and how they were conducted. Lincoln truly suffered throughout the Civil War; his photographs depict his advanced aging in the four years that he was president during the war. He worked tirelessly, for 18 hours a day, to deal with the crisis of war, rarely taking time off for his own enjoyment. The result was a victory for the Union, and a United States which remained united. Does anyone believe that Bush works 18 hours a day, while suffering over his "war on terrorism," which is being waged in a country that had nothing to do with 9-11? We are supposed to believe that he actually suffers? Yeah, riiight...

You must be deaf, or you don't want to hear it, the booing was huge. The commentators are part of the act, they can't mention that.

Naturally, the ESPN commentators are not going to say ANYTHING negative about Bush--remember who owns ESPN--Disney--#2 in the "Big Five" media hierarchy. Mark my words--the instant any Disney employee criticizes Bush, Bob Iger (Disney's CEO) will see to it that he or she gets FIRED RIGHT ON THE SPOT!

ya that's the creepy part of this clip. The broadcast fools just remark on what a fine pitch it was. Yeah, and the surge is working.

You know... That's really a lowclass way to respond. I asked outright if perhaps there was a problem with my speakers. Ever think that maybe the answer could be... yes? Did I say anything at all deserving of the insult?
