I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Ed Rendell

Great catch from Michael Calderone at the Politico:

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, a strong supporter and prominent surrogate of the Hillary Clinton campaign, appeared on Fox News' morning show "Fox & Friends" today and praised the network for its "objective" and "balanced" coverage.

"I think during this entire primary coverage, starting in Iowa and up to the present, Fox has done the fairest job, has remained the most objective of all the cable networks," Rendell told host Steve Doocy. "You actually have done a very balanced job of reporting the news, and some of the other stations are just caught up with Senator Obama, who is a great guy, but Senator Obama can do no wrong, and Senator Clinton can do no right."

Doocy told Rendell, "I just had a tingling in my leg when you were talking about that," a reference to MSNBC host Chris Matthews, who has been criticized for unfairly treating Hillary Clinton and who once announced on air that he felt a "thrill going up his leg" during an Obama speech.

Watch:

Recently, "Fox & Friends" was the center of mayhem at the network, when an anchor walked off set over a dispute about Obama's comments on race and "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace railed against the network for what he called "two hours of Obama-bashing." "Fox & Friends" hosts later claimed the walk-off stunt was a joke, and Wallace admitted that he regretted speaking out against his network.

THE CLINTON'S HAVE 936 FBI FILES. DO YOU THINK THAT THEY ONLY HAD FILES ON THE GOP? GET REAL. IT IS NOT WHAT THEY HAVE PROMISED RENDELL OR HIS WIFE, IT IS THE FBI FILES.

Someone should ask Hilliary Clinton (the hypocrite) when she is going to ask Governor Rendell to denounce and reject Louis Farrakhan . Read the story (Philadelphia Mayor Joins Farrakhan to Calm Ethnic Tensions) at the following website. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9F0CE1DD173FF936A25757C0A961958260&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=1

Funny how Huffington took this off the main page.

Funny how Olbermans worst person award for Walmart is front page, but nothing who beat Walmart last night............. Ed Rendell.

This primary is going to hurt these surrogates in their next round of primaries.
If I was running against Rendell for that nomination I would just play this video over and over:

Funny he's all cosy to FOX now. They continue to promote that Sen. Obama is Muslim, reported incorrectly her attended a madrassa, and used his middle name to continue to scare its viewers among other things. Obama, rightfully, has decided not to engage FOX news because of their extreme bias, so Sen. Clinton and her supporters are all that's left for FOX to interview.

On the other hand, MSNBC's Morning Joe is pro-Clinton, but I watch it because he doesn't make such outrageous accusations about Obama. The Governor certainly knows should Sen. Clinton or Sen. Obama get the nomination FOX will wage an all out war against either of them. What a silly thing for him to have said!

Doesn't Gov. Rendell understand that Fox is harsher on Obama because he's going to be the nominee? He must not have gotten the memo. Only a Clintonite would lavish praise on the ultimate media appendage of the Bush Administration, Fox News. Simply absurd.

I am sorry, but anyone who thinks, let alone says, that Fox News is the most objective and balanced coverage is out of their mind. Fox News would try to take a story about an old lady walking down the street and turn it into "Old Ladies walk the streets looking for little children to eat".

I'm happy that Governor Rendell said what I've been thinking. Until the last few months, I didn't watch FOX as I considered it propaganda only. Now NBC and MSNBC have stooped even lower. There"s no pretense of news reporting there; it"s the Obama PR network. Fox"s talking heads are indeed more professional than Matthews, Carlson, Olbermann, Shuster, and Brzezinski. When this group is on the air, I expect to hear a statement that says "I'm Barack Obama, and I approve this message"

Yes, because reporting actual truths, like "hillary lied about bosnia" and "hillary can't catch up" is a terrible bias!

I hate to point out that "anti obama" does not equal "fair and unbiased".

It's odd that Fox has been more even-handed. But Rendell is right

True. And that's a scary fact. The reason they've been actually objective is they can wait until after the DNC Convention to once again distort for their Republican candidate.

You are talking about the same Fox news that continues to bring up Hillary's connection to Vince Foster and has asked whether Hillary would have a "PMS meltdown during a time of national crises"?

I am trying to desperately to stop smoking and to delete FOX news from my cable lineup. I do not want my kids exposed to either one of those ills.

It is always so funny to hear Yanks make that kind of plainly silly statement. But, if you should like to read actual news try news.bbc.co.uk - you might actually get out of the he said/she said silliness laced with a bazillion commercials that is the forte of the so-called news media of the US. And then you might actually eventually learn that this is about the only country where there remains any level of support for the war on Iraq (note I did not say "in Iraq"), that socialized medicine in general actually works, is far more humane and delivers better value for money than the US insurance company perverted system. All the best love, maybe someday this forever adolescent country will actually grow up. Most likely after the place achieves bankruptcy due to the plainly idiotic economic policies trumpeted by the likes of Fox News and the Republican party. Folks, the party is just about over - now comes the hangover of being the world's most indebted country. Well done.
