New Kids On The Block: Watch The Reunion

The New Kids on the Block reunited on the Today show Friday morning, as expected. No longer kids, the guys still have screaming fans turn out in droves to see them together again. From the article about the appearance:

McIntyre and fellow band members Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and Jordan and Jonathan Knight have been writing songs and planning their return since last August. They wanted to keep their reunion a secret, but rumors leaked out earlier this year.

"We weren't going to announce this yet, but the story leaked on People.com," Wahlberg said, his voice barely audible above the shrieks of young women and girls who were barely alive when the band broke up 14 years ago. "We thought we'd better come out and let them know it's official."

Heh heh .... what's funny is that even tho' Donnie is standing at the front and holding a microphone, the first question is directed at Jordan, standing at the back. And then when they have to introduce themselves Donnie almost cuts off Jonathon.

Yeah, he's a good actor, but c'mon -- he hasn't worked much lately (and neither has his brother - will 'Marky Mark' play support?) and this is going to be a MUCH BIGGER payday. I don't blame any of them.

I suspect they've waited this long to reform because they wanted to wait until their previous contracts had expired. Now they'll make ALL the money ...
