Clinton Campaign Bills

CBS 13 Sacramento:

Bill Clinton may have charmed the crowd at UC Davis in January, when 7500 people showed up to see him, but charm has not covered the Clinton campaign bill.

The University of California in Davis is ready to take the Clinton presidential campaign to a collection agency if they do not pay back the thousands of dollars they are still owed.

Here's a breakdown of expenses:

- The UC Davis Marching Band cost $500.
- Cleanup services after the rally cost $250.
- UC Davis Police officers didn't come as cheap. The security bill is more than $5,600.

Ah, a good representation of Hillary's I'm-so-special privileged attitude. I notice she has paid millions to Mark Penn, but can't pay her staff's health insurance premiums. UC Davis may be able to live without prompt payment of these bills, but what about the small vendors with unpaid bills who have employees to pay, expenses to pay, families to feed. Other candidates who are flagrantly wealthy like the Clintons use their own money to fund campaigns. Hillary makes a $5 mil loan to her campaign that she expects donors to repay her. What's wrong with this picture?

She helped bankrupt the country with her vote to go to war with Iraq.

Now we find out that this lady who will supposedly be ready on day one is broke and cannot pay her bills, do we really want a dead beat running our country the way she has run her political campaign?

Where is our great FEMALE LEADER?

Poor Hillary, she can't pay her campaign bills so please help her out and send in your

donations.

True, she has millions of dollars, or Euros, safely banked for herself and her family but

she needs YOU to pay her EGO CAMPAIGN BILLS.

Penny donations are acceptable.

but, but I don't understand, Hill and Dollar Bill have made $109.2 million last few years...and Bill & Hill got $800K for pumping up the Colombia free trade bill...why can't they pay their employee's health premiums or pay all these vendors in Ohio & CA?

Mark Penn took all the money, no way of skipping the lobbyists, pollsters and spinners. The rest of the vendors as Elton said last night "Can go to hell"

I wonder how Clinton"s strategists will spin this newest misstep as they try to persuade the Superdelegates that she is the most electable candidate. This is hilarious.

They say Pesidents age when they are in office. I look at Hillary and she has aged just running for the job. She is getting to look old and fat.

Completely inappropriate and off subject. Let's just hope this doesn't stop you from voting for her in the primaries or general election.

As someone older and fatter than Sen. Clinton, I take exception to that remark. She is a "target rich environment" and you have a wealth of substantive issues you can go after her about.

She's competing for Democratic Nominee, not America's Next Top Model.

You want old and tired, picture McCain after a hard election fight.

Well, Hillary opened the door to this type of scrutiny when she made her appearance an issue. During one of her stump speeches this past weekend, she mentioned she should get extra points over her male opponents because of how long it takes for her to get ready each day.

For the record, let's look at what Obama pays his top guys:

... chief strategist on Barack Obama's campaign, David Axelrod, has seen at least $1.2 million paid to his Chicago-based firm, where David Plouffe, Obama's campaign manager, was a partner until he left to go work for the campaign. (Plouffe makes $12,000 a month in salary.) Obama has paid his chief pollster, Joel Benenson, $635,000 so far.

So? What's your point?

Obama is paying his bills, you don't hear about him stiffing small businesses all over the country do you? Hillary is oh-so for the little guy that she doesn't even pay them. Most small biz vendors need payment to feed their families. You don't hear about Obama having unpaid bills going into collection do you? No, didn't think so. Thanks.

And how is that relevant to this story? Does that make it ok, somehow, for Hillary not to pay her bills?

He's getting a heck of a lot more bang for his buck than she is.

Everyone should be wary and require the Clinton Campaign pre-pay all goods and services. If you don't have an estimate, make one, budget it, and require a full deposit up front.
Don't let them leave the building when the event is over until they pay.

Serve Hillary with a subpoena for her deposition and demand that she produce at the deposition all documents which relate in any way to any money loaned, given, paid to her campaign, all money loaned, given, paid by her or her husband related to the campaign, and all documents which reflect each expenditure, all assets, all liabilities of the campaign, including the $5.0 million she supposedly loaned to herself. Personally, I'd like to know how many pantsuits the campaign has purchased for Hillary, but it seems to be a new one every day, all exactly the same. Also the name of the person who makes them, and the cost of each. Let's see how absurdly vain Hillary is. After all, the 3 a.m. phone call shows her in pearls and a business suit, so I guess she's a little worried about how she looks in casual clothes. The case would settle before the deposition because there's no way Hillary would show up to testify.

They already have one court date soon approaching for 'fraud', because of a 2000 campaign fundraiser in California when Hillary was running for the New York U.S. Senate seat. Check out the story here...

This case was thrown out in 2006. Stop getting your outdated news from World Net Daily whic is an extreme right wing conservative site:

Paul's suit against the FEC was thrown out; his attempt to bring ethics charges against Clinton were rejected,[42] and his fraud charges against Senator Clinton were tossed out in April 2006.[43] Paul continued to press civil charges against Senator Clinton and former President Clinton for "looting"[44] his business, but the courts refused to allow him to sue Senator Clinton, with the appellate court specifying that her behavior had been "perfectly legal," and allowing her to recoup her legal fees from Paul.[40]

More about this CONVICTED FELON who tried to sue the Clintons. The same guy who tried to extort millions from Fidel Castro!

Paul's current felony -- his role in a $25 million stock scam involving Stan Lee Media, which Paul co-founded with the comic-book legend. Moore described it as benignly as possible: "Paul pleaded guilty to one count of violating Securities and Exchange Commission regulations on the trading of his stock. He insists his actions did not defraud shareholders, and that, in fact, he lost money in the transaction." Moore also fails to note that Paul faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $5 million for the charge to which he pleaded guilty.

You left out the end, in which Peter Paul has refiled his complaint with the FEC, and Paul's suit against former President Clinton remains, as of December 2007, outstanding. He is seeking $41.9 million in damages.

What will be interesting is if the Clintons do get taken to court for unpaid bills. Maybe they will get another federal judge that will rule they knew nothing about the speeches the way it was ruled in the Peter Paul court case. Remember the Clintions have a power base that included judges. UC Davis might be out the money.
