FIA President Refuses To Resign Over Nazi-Inspired Orgy

The crescendo of calls for Max Mosley to resign are only going to make him more determined to stay on, according to a friend of the FIA president who has spoken to The Times.

With car companies, national motor sport federations, the Formula One paddock and well-known figures in the sport calling on him - or expecting him - to resign, Mosley has amazed and annoyed by refusing to accept that his position is hopeless.

Last night a friend of Mosley, who was the subject of a second successive set of lurid disclosures in the News of the World on Sunday about an alleged Nazi-inspired sado-masochistic orgy, said it is not in Mosley's nature to give in. In fact, the tighter the corner he finds himself, the more intransigent and pugnacious he will become.

Max spent his WWII era childhood in Ireland while his parents sat in jail. Their crime? Being silly, upper class twits with not much of a clue about the real world. On the one hand you are right about Max Mosley, but its a very odd pronouncement on the spawn of Mosley for his son to be practicing this kind of sexual gratification. After all, Mosley was living proof that Nazism was really a youth movement--more reason to fear the barely pubescent punks who make up the Bushies today--as he started out his career as an MP pitching himself as the young against the old bookish fuddy-duddies. Also I think you go a bit easy on him, if you think of the Cable Street incident and the fact that the man was a real traitor during a time of war. It's odd how the children of Nazis seem to do so well and being so bizarre as they are. If you think of somebody like Stalin's daughter, they made a few comments and wrote articles and books that nobody read, but Max Mosley rose to power in a prominent cutting-edge field. Most unusual.

The bottom line he fined Team Mclaren for $100 million for bringing the sport into disrepute. Considering how much this story has been in the headlines around the world he has done his share of bringing the sport into disrepute himself. He was not allowed to attend last weekends race in Bahrain. If his "private" actions are preventing him from representing the organization that he heads, he has to go. This is a bit like the Spitzer case if you live by the sword you die by the sword.

Actually this isn't similar to what happened to Spitzer - he was targeted by politicians who wanted to make sure he didn't have more power and of course it was just a "coincidence" that they made him resign the same week that the Fed for the very first time in history decided to bail out an investment bank and loan money to investment banks while making taxpayers responsible for $30 billion in mortgages that creditors would have been stuck with if BS had gone bankrupt as it should have.

Sorry if I offended and supporters of Spitzer. That was not my intent.

I am not comparing the men just the cases. They both have/had jobs that required them to enforce rules and punish those who broke the rules. When they break those same rules they should face the same punishment as everyone else. I am sure that Max was targeted (probably by Ron Dennis at Mclaren) just as you claim Spitzer was. Maybe if you knew a bit more about the FIA and last year's "Formula One Spygate" in paricular, you would be able to see the similarities.
